Farewell Campers—Until Next Time!
Our last week of camp has come to an end, but the memories made will last a lifetime. 🐴🌟 A huge thank you to all our campers and their families for making this camp season so special. We can't wait to welcome you all back next time for more adventures on the ranch!

After a day full of activity, our campers treated their horse friend Bo to a refreshing bath. 🧼🐴 It's all about teamwork and showing appreciation for our hardworking horses, who give so much during camp. Bo certainly enjoyed the cool-down!

After grooming and tacking up, it was time for our campers to saddle up and ride! 🏇 Riding is not just about physical skills; it's about building trust, confidence, and a strong bond with the horse. We're proud of how much each camper has grown during this experience.

It was all about horse care! 🐴 Our campers learned about grooming kits, the parts of a bridle and saddle, and got hands-on experience grooming and tacking up their horses. This kind of practical knowledge builds confidence and connection with our equine friends.

Our campers enjoyed some creative relaxation. Painting under the shade of the trees, they were accompanied by our free-roaming chickens and goats. 🎨🐓 There's something magical about combining art, nature, and the company of animals—true therapy for the soul!

Our 3rd and final week of camp, and the campers dove right into a horse-powered reading adventure. They built the 'reading river' and decoded words along the way, all with a little help from their Fjord friends. 🐴 What better way to make reading fun and interactive than with the gentle guidance of a horse by your side?

Afternoon Riding with Luke and Bo: The day wrapped up with horseback riding sessions featuring our trusty Fjords, Luke and Bo. 🐴✨ Campers had the opportunity to build confidence and enjoy the joy of riding. It was a perfect end to a day filled with learning, adventure, and new experiences.

Teamwork and EAL Horse Soccer: The fun continued with an engaging session of EAL horse soccer! ⚽️🐴 Campers worked as a team, honing their communication and cooperation skills while enjoying the excitement of the game. It was a great way to build camaraderie and have fun with our equine friends.

Morning Fun: "Running of the Goats" Today at camp, we kicked things off with the thrilling "Running of the Goats"! 🐐 The kids enjoyed chasing and interacting with our playful goats. Afterward, they learned about chickens and goats, and had the chance to meet adorable baby chicks. The morning was filled with laughter and excitement as campers drew their own versions of these charming animals.

Bobbing for Apples: A Classic Camp Game: Our campers had a blast bobbing for apples! 🍎 With plenty of splashes and smiles, many kids even went in for a second turn. This classic game brought everyone together and set the stage for a fun-filled day.

The Fourth of July is almost here, and many horse owners are concerned about how their horses might react to loud fireworks. 🎆

In the graphic below are some tips to keep your pets and equine companions safe during the festivities.

If your horses are staying out overnight, now is a good time to check fencing and look for any hazards like rocks, branches, or holes that could lead to injury if an animal starts running. If you have a high level of concern about your horse's response, consult your veterinarian about the appropriateness of calming agents and sedatives in advance.

No matter what your plans are, please remember to practice safety and be considerate of the people and the animals living around you so everyone may enjoy the celebration.
