Hi 👋🏼
Now that we are almost halfway through the year (HOW!!) I finally feel ready to post something for the first time in 2023.
Outside of a few IG stories I’ve been away from engaging in social media for almost 6 months. In January I felt this incredible urge to NOT be seen. I disabled my account for a few months. I withdrew from friends and family. My sole focus was and has been my jobs, making money and healing.
I know a lot of you have been wondering what has been going on. (I know this because of the messages I’ve been getting). There have been a few times I thought I felt ready to talk about everything but whenever I tried, it all felt too overwhelming so I stopped. I have felt like I needed to reach some kind of “resolution” in my life so I can say “hey this is where I was at but now I’m through it and everything is great!” But truthfully that hasn’t happened yet.
These past 6 months I have dove deep into:
•nervous system regulation and healing my own nervous system
•Microdosing 🍄💊
•coffee enemas and parasite cleansing
•working through the return of an eating disorder
•multiple kambo ceremonies 🐸
•paying off thousands of $$ in debt
•helping my son with his own health journey
•navigating my own health journey
All while working 6-7 days per week as a single mom.
Social media just hasn’t felt worth it. I had to eliminate any non-essentials from my life. I felt unworthy of this community I built. I felt like a failure in so many ways. So I have stayed hidden, again, not wanting to be seen.
But there have still been little whispers from the universe that my work in this space isn’t done. That I still have so much I can do and so much to offer. That I am worthy of showing up here and speaking even if I don’t feel “healed” and even if I have tons of my own flaws I’m working through.
I have so much more to say and not enough space to say it. How the rest unfolds is TBD. But I want to thank those of you who have stuck around, sent me messages, told me you missed me and sent your love to me. You’re the reason I haven’t completely given up on being in this space.
More to come. 🫶🏼
And P.S in case you were wondering yes I’m still sober.
✈️5 Tips to THRIVE During a Sober Work Trip ✈️ Swipe 👉🏼
If you followed along this past weekend while I was in Vegas for my yearly corporate company retreat, I shared these (and more) in my stories!
This time of year tons of companies are getting together for end-of-year holiday parties, meetings and retreats. That almost always means there will be alcohol present.
I personally used to struggle a LOT with drinking too much on work trips. It felt like a time to let loose (on someone else’s dime 🤣) and it usually led to blackouts and embarrassing moments.
So happy to say I’ve re-written that story these last few years. Even though I’m the only one sober in my company, it doesn’t bother me at all. I had so many delicious mocktails (one place even had wellness juice shots!!) and don’t feel like I missed out on anything.
I had great conversations, plenty of laughs and was able to hit the hotel gym the next morning feeling tired, yes, but overall really good.

✨ 8 Herbs & Spices that can help you detox in early sobriety ✨
Disclaimer: not medical advice, this is purely educational.
1️⃣Cayenne: stimulates blood flow, boosts your metabolism & reduces pain & inflammation in the body.
👉🏼Use it: Add a dash to turn up the spice & healing power of any dish. Also add in beverages like smoothies or hot tea.
2️⃣Cinnamon: Research shows it can help combat diabetes & cancerous agents in the body.
👉🏼Use it: Cinnamon compliments any warm dish with a sweet flavor profile. Sprinkle some on a bowl of oats or on raw apple slices.
3️⃣Clove: This spice has the highest antioxidant abilities of ANY food. It aids your digestive system, kills pathogens & helps protect your liver.
👉🏼Use it: Incorporate ground cloves into your meals throughout the week. They help intensify the flavor of curries & add a nice spice to baked treats.
4️⃣Garlic: It can help knockout v*ruses, balance your blood sugar levels (so important in sobriety) & detox your body of heavy metals.
👉🏼Use it: Add some pressed garlic into any savory dish. My family and I also eat it raw when we are sick to help us heal.
5️⃣Ginger: Not only is it excellent for digestion, it can also help alleviate physical pain in the body.
👉🏼Use it: I add it to every juice to give it a spice. You can also add fresh ginger to tea or plain warm water.
6️⃣Parsley: THE go-to blood cleanser. Helps filter your blood, neutralizing pathogens & delivering various vitamins & minerals in the body.
👉🏼Use it: A great green to add to fresh juice because it doesn’t drastically change the flavor. I also enjoy adding chopped parsley to scrambled eggs and roasted potatoes.
7️⃣Rosemary: This fragrant evergreen has been shown to help improve memory and relieve muscle pain.
👉🏼Use it: I incorporate rosemary into every soup and stew because it smells absolutely amazing in warm dishes!
8️⃣Turmeric: Nature’s tylenol. This is a natural pain reliever that can also help facilitate natural weight loss & reduce chronic stress symptoms.
👉🏼Use it: I add it to eggs, potatoes, sautéed veggies and drinks like golden milk & golden matcha lattes with it.

Heres what you need to know about coffee ☕️👉🏼

Before you all come at me 🤣 I’m not trying to take your precious coffee away!
But I do think it’s important to be mindful of everything we are consuming - even if it doesn’t have alcohol in it!
And when I learned coffee doesn’t actually give us energy it just blocks the receptors in our brain that tell us we are tired 😫😫 I just knew this was info I had to share.
I personally have had such a roller coaster ride in my relationship with coffee. I’ve FINALLY figured out that I don’t have to cut it out of my life completely. But I do have to be intentional about how and when I’m consuming it and definitely take frequent breaks from it.
I personally drink half-caff coffee. My favorite is the ashwaghanda blend from . They also have (in my opinion) the best mushroom coffee alternatives that are completely caffeine free.
What’s your relationship with coffee?
This morning I am putting the finishing touches on the sleep module in my course. 💤
So I decided to turn the info into a post for you! 🤓

Here’s How Alcohol Affects Your Sleep 👉🏼 (Swipe)
All of the info is presented pretty concisely in the slides but here’s what you really need to know:
•Alcohol works as a sedative, meaning it IS effective at helping us fall asleep/pass out.
•However, as your body starts to metabolize the alcohol throughout the night it will cause more interruptions to your sleep.
•It’s next to impossible to get into REM sleep with alcohol in your system.
•It affects the secretion of HGH (human growth hormone) which is critical for maintaining lean body mass, bone and muscle growth, metabolism and heart function.
•Drinking at night leads to less productivity the next day (hello hangxiety and hangovers) 😖

Here’s How to Handle Anxiety in Sobriety 👉🏼

This has been a highly requested topic on my page and I have been meditating on how best to present my take on it.
Of course, because I believe in a holistic health model I broke down anxiety in terms of the physical, mental and spiritual implications.
I want to point out that me listing CBD under tips should not be confused with me saying “take CBD” and your anxiety problem goes away. I think all of the tips prior to that need to be implemented and THEN CBD can be incorporated on an as-needed basis.
The CBD I recommend is and you can use my code COACHANDI at checkout to save some 💸 if you want to try it.

MY THOUGHTS ON ALCOHOL-FREE DRINKS:
This is a topic I get asked about a lot - my thoughts on alcohol-free spirits, wines, beers and mocktails. 🍻
Remember, this is just my opinion 🙃
I was sober for over 3 years before I ever tried an alcohol-free wine. I got sober before the complete explosion of NA alternatives so once I discovered you could drink champagne without the alcohol I was intrigued. 🤔
To be honest, I went a little overboard. I bought a ton of AF spirits (tequila and whiskey) and multiple brands of AF wines and champagnes. I went from drinking mostly water, tea and coffee to having an AF drink every day. 🍹
And what was so fascinating to me, was the ritual I created around these drinks. I found myself waiting for the clock to say 5 PM to crack open a non-alcoholic beer 😂 but why? There’s no alcohol so why does it matter? 🤣 Other days I would drink an AF champagne in the morning because why not?
The truth is, just because these drinks had no booze, doesn’t magically mean I should be drinking them at all hours of the day.
AF drinks are usually very high in sugar, can contain artificial colors and flavors and can be highly processed.
Not to mention the taste is sometimes so close to the real thing that it can be triggering for people in recovery.
And - if you’re just putting down one bottle to pick up another (regardless of the fact there’s no alcohol in it) you aren’t really working to heal the underlying issue of why you’re reaching for a bottle to begin with.
The way I treat AF drinks and mocktails is how I wish I could treat booze honestly 🤣 stop at 1 and only for special occasions. I think it’s great to have on hand for holidays, weddings etc but for me it is NOT a part of my daily routine.
And of course as you guys know, when I do imbibe in a delicious AF bubbly it’s always 🥂 (use COACHANDI at checkout to save 💸)
What are your thoughts on alcohol-free drinks and cocktails? 👇🏼

Building Your Sobriety Toolbox 🧰 Part 2:
🍽 NUTRITION
How many of you take the time to educate yourself on food and how it can be used to fuel your body?
Based on conversations I have with clients and my general experience out in society my guess is not many of you.
During my years of active addiction my focus was weightloss. I wanted to drink and use as much as possible while being as small as possible. Sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn’t. I went through phases where I was tiny and scared to eat more than a tomato. And other phases where I was swollen and puffy from alcohol and would binge eat boxes of donuts or Taco Bell. I would chain smoke ci******es then workout. I was a mess 😂😂
In early sobriety I decided to stop worrying so much about losing weight. I decided instead to worry about my HEALTH. I became focused on:
🌱eating foods that would help fuel my activity levels
🌱minimizing my exposure to toxins (swapping out beauty and cleaning products for cleaner versions)
🌱paying attention to how food made me FEEL instead of how many calories it had
🌱learning about wellness hacks and supplements that could help me heal
Nutrition is probably my favorite thing to talk about because I truly believe food is medicine. What you put into your body affects everything - your mindset, mood and of course your physical health. And the more awareness you have around what you’re consuming the less likely you will want to poison yourself with drugs and alcohol.
If you want to learn all of the tips tricks and wellness hacks I know about food and nutrition I would love for you to join my private group coaching program. You get access to an amazing community of like-minded people as well as weekly coaching calls with me!

I think this is important information for everyone, even someone who doesn’t plan on being sober.
Any awareness that can be created around alcohol is valuable. It’s important to understand the effects on our body, mind, and spirit because we know the alcohol industry isn’t going to tell us. 🙄 “Drink responsibly” is their only warning. 🥴
