La Basa is here! We met Aurelio Villatoro a decade ago and knew he was a special producer with special coffee. The 2021-22 coffee year will be a year of Brown bringing in many more of the coffees we've been dreaming of sharing with you for years, San Antonio, giving you a wider view of the network we've built over the past 16 years. LA BASA has prominent notes of salted walnut minerality and pear, black fig and vanilla bean, with a creamy acidity. Available now!

The DIRTY COLDBREW. San Antonio's OG coldbrew drink. Start with our fresh coldbrew coffee, brewed and kegged almost daily, and available on tap. We never water it down to stretch it. Add one giant "whiskey cube" ice block. Again, melts slower so your drink doesn't get all watery. That's the base. Then we "dirty" it up with organic cane sugar simple syrup and milk. Our Dirty Coldbrew is often imitated; but those others never taste as good as the original. Come enjoy the drink that put us on the map.

Wednesday, June 30 marks our official last day of service at Brown 1800 (1800 Broadway Street). Our time there has been beautiful, and now it's time to grow into our next phase at our Brown Southtown location (and beyond). In honor of all the great coffee that has come through those doors and into your hands, we're doing one last TEN DOLLAR COFFEE BAGS day at Brown 1800, Sunday, June 27 from 9a-5p. Hope to see you all there between now and then!

Did you know that the English word for "Alamo" is "cottonwood?" The original Spanish mission was built next to a grove of cottonwood trees. People began referring to the mission as "El Alamo" for its proximity to the cottonwood grove and soon the name stuck. Our Cottonwood Espresso is meant to honor the spirit of San Antonio and Texas, the place Brown Coffee Company has proudly called home for over 15 years.

Got some lovely sunny weather and TEN DOLLAR BAGS lined up all weekend long at our 1800 Broadway shop.

Every week, hundreds and hundreds of pounds of freshly roasted coffees leave our roasting facility to large cities and small towns across the nation. Lots get brewed or sold in our two cafes. Some bags go to first timers trying out a roaster a friend recommended. Others are for old friends who've faithfully supported us through the years. Still others take advantage of our "Coffee Addicts" subscription program where we send regular offerings to customers for a set period or on an ongoing basis. Our roasting production team has grown to encompass three paid production members and a Wholesale Manager who serves the needs of our wholesale partners statewide. 2020 gave us a few surprises; but as we come back up for air and the tail end of 2020 harvest coffees land at Brown we can again focus on booking and receiving coffees for 2021 with fingers crossed and hearts open. Pretty soon we'll launch our Anniversary Blend celebrating FIFTEEN YEARS of Brown. And toward the Holidays it's the return of a cult favorite: Candy Factory. Good coffee times are here again, friends. We hope to hear from you all soon.
