Howdy! The name’s Moo Moo, I’m sure you’ve been able to figure out why. Despite my cow-like appearance, I promise I’m all dog. I like to consider myself a pretty lucky guy. I mean, I was rescued off a euthanasia list after all. Though the entirety of my background might be a mystery, one thing is for certain – I’m ready to offer you ALL of my love. I’m a bit timid in new situations, but after a few belly rubs and walkies, I’ll warm right up to you. Despite my mysterious background, it is obvious that I came from a home with some structure as I am already crate-trained and potty-trained! I love going for my daily walks, so I hope you’re ready for a new walking partner! 🦮🚶‍♀️

As a Terrier mix, you’ll come to find that I am scruffy, determined and energetic! So, it is important to know that I would probably benefit from an active lifestyle to ensure that both my mind and body stay stimulated. Ever wonder what the life of a foster dog is like? Well, take a peek into Ruffles’ Saturday routine! ✨

This girl typically starts her day in a snuggle puddle. Her favorite foster sibling to curl up with is miss Lena. Lena is also available for adoption through her foster, Mimi!

Next, it’s time to eat a nutritious breakfast (not pictured 😜).

Then, Ruffles catches a few morning sniffs in the backyard with the rest of her foster siblings. A sploot in the grass always follows.

The last stop for Ruffles is SNIPSA’s adoption event! Catch her at from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. She will be sporting her favorite pink bandana and a smile! 💞

FRIDAY FEEL GOOD STORY!!! 🎊🐩🐕⭐️

Remember our beloved Lady, the Chihuahua, that has been battling a systemic case of mast cell tumors? Well she is still living her best life after being diagnosed with this crummy disease nearly 9 months ago.

While we haven’t been able to find her a forever adopter, we do have a team of warrior fosters that have poured their heart and soul into caring for this special doggo making sure she gets her daily meds and makes it to her monthly vet appointments. Special thanks to the doctors at Animal Cancer Center of Texas that have provided encouragement and quality care over the last several months. We are grateful to every soul and cheerleader that has lent a helping hand. 💖🌈

Our BIGGEST boy embarked on the BIGGEST adventure! 🚗🐾🌵🎸✨🐄

This past Saturday, several helping hands joined to transport Henry all the way from 📍 New Albany, OH to 📍 Olmos Park, TX. We had made a plea for a “doggy caravan” on social media—and you guys delivered!!

Four kindhearted people, a handful of egg bites, a stop at Micky D’s, several potty breaks, and roughly 1,330 miles later…and Henry was back in the hands of his SNIPSA foster family. ✨ Shoutout to Christina, Patti, Sandy and Cherri for assisting in each leg of Henry’s journey. We can’t thank you enough for your efforts in getting this big, lovable lug home safely. ❤️

On Friday afternoon, we had the joy of meeting the young and bright faces of troop #5116. In their first ever year of selling Girl Scout cookies, these hardworking ladies raised $300 for SNIPSA! Their contribution will help us continue our important work here in San Antonio. There are so many ways to help animals in need, and we have learned that COOKIES are one of them—awesome job, girls!! 🥰

We’re calling to let you know that we have many rescues who need FOSTERS! Yesterday, we answered a plea from Animal Care Services and saved 15 cats and dogs from euthanasia. This was just the first step in their rescue journey. The second step is securing temporary foster homes, and only YOU can help make that happen. 🏡

These eleven animals need to leave the SNIPSA office TODAY. 🐶🙏🐈 We have several new faces and a couple old-timers. They are all eager to prove themselves as loving companions.

Everyone knows these kiddos deserve a bed, company, and cuddles. They don’t deserve to be locked up indefinitely in a metal cage. By taking in just ONE foster, you are directly impacting an animal in need.

🌟 2024 FACE OF THE RACE: KIWI 🌟

After several weeks of campaigning for the Face of the Race title, Kiwi has earned her cape as SNIPSA’s top fundraising champion! 💥💗

36 dogs competed to win this year, and Kiwi crushed the competition with $5,040 collected. So, this hardworking girl will be our 2024 Face of the Race at the 17th Annual 5k Race for the Rescues!

Runner-up, Odin, earned an impressive $1,802 in his campaign efforts. Together, we raised a heroic amount of $14,259 for animals in need. 💪

Thank you to all contestants and donors who helped make this year’s Face of the Race competition a success. We hope to see you all on RACE DAY! 🦮🏃‍♀️💨
