𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗮𝘆: "It made me feel really great to complete the activity! Not only is it relaxing and almost meditative to cut the strips and tie the knots, it also gave me plenty of time to think about who I was making the blanket for and the impact it would have on them. With every knot I tied, I thought about the Veteran who might receive the blanket and the impact it would have on them. Would it be a hospitalized Vietnam Veteran who had never heard the words "thank you for your service"? Or maybe a homeless Veteran who was just trying to survive on the streets. Either way, I felt like the blanket I was making would make a lasting impact on that individual and perhaps become a cherished source of comfort."

Happiness is… a warm blanket! Which is why we love giving blankets to Service Members and Veterans. No Sew Blankets are easy to make and we are currently in need of them as part of our Operation: Warm Winter Collection Drive! This is a great project to do as a family, team, or organization.

The Navajo Code Talkers were essential during World War II, helping the U.S. Marine Corps transmit messages by assigning Navajo words to important military phrases and tactics. In just about an hour, with the help of four family members, Michelle's team packed an impressive 192 box lunches!

Each card only cost a dollar (plus postage)- a small price to pay to give thanks to active-duty servicemembers and veterans for their service to our country. I included a short uplifting hand-written message in each card and dropped them at the post office. In the future, I plan to handmake the greeting cards I send because I love crafting!"

"I was surprised at how emotional this was for me. When writing to a Marine, I actually cried. I served in the Marine Corps and know what it is like to be overseas away from family. I felt grateful to Soldiers' Angels for affording me the opportunity to send love and encouragement to a fellow Marine who I will most likely never meet."

Huge thanks to church members at St. Christopher Hellenic Orthodox Church in Peachtree City, Georgia! Led by Angel Faye, VA Deputy Representative for Soldiers' Angels Atlanta, church members of all ages gathered to bake Greek butter cookies and other treats. The items were sold the next day during church services to raise funds for Soldiers' Angels.

The bake sale was a success, selling every box of goodies and raising valuable funds. It also educated the youth on the importance of supporting Veterans. Veterans in the parish were honored, adding a special touch to a day filled with community spirit. We thank St. Christopher Hellenic Orthodox Church for their unwavering support.
