While military life isn’t always easy this awesome community never fails to come together in an amazing way.

Happy National Dog Day!

Did you know that Military Working Dog basic training happens right here at JBSA Lackland?! It does!

The 341st Training Squadron trains military working dogs (MWDs) used in patrol, drug and explosive detection, and specialized mission functions for the Department of Defense (DoD) and other government agencies.

JBSA Lackland PWOC has kicked off for the Fall semester!

Today, our Catholic community celebrates the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, when Mary, the mother of Jesus, was assumed body and soul into heaven.

Today is Military Marriage Day, a special occasion to honor the love, commitment, and resilience of military marriages worldwide.

The unique challenges of military life can test even the strongest relationships, yet these couples stand firm, supporting each other through every deployment, PCS, and duty assignment.

We recognize and celebrate the strength, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication that all military marriages embody!

Tisha Be'Av, the 9th of Av, is a day of mourning and reflection in the Jewish faith. It commemorates the destruction of the First and Second Temples in Jerusalem, among other tragedies in Jewish history.
