Helping teacher authors build their businesses and conquer the world.
Here’s a tip if you’re thinking about all the things you need to do to launch your business…
It can be overwhelming, I know. I get it.
It feels like there's so much, and this is what causes so many people to quit before they've even started. It seems to daunting.
It feels like there a thousand things to do, and you’re trying to manage them all (plus juggle life and all the other things).
You have this idea, you know you can help people, but it just seems. Like. So. Much....
But contrary to popular belief, launching your business doesn’t have to be complicated.
It’s actually pretty simple, and if you have these four things in place, you can start making money.
(Doesn't mean it's not work, just means it doesn't have to be as complicated as maybe you're making it out to be.)
Then it’s just a matter of building on what you already have, laser focusing your time, and focusing on the MOST important things in your biz to move the needle forward.
Comment BUILD below and I’ll share these four things that you need with you 😉

I consider myself an insanely happy person.
I seriously feel so lucky. Like I have everything I ever wanted in life. (True story.)
But this happy doesn't happen by accident.
It's intentional.
I've done a lot of thinking about this because ask me all the time, "Why are you so happy?" (Also- what kind of question is that!? lol)
I've curated this list of intentional things happy people do! 🤗
Because everybody can use a little more happy, right?
If you'd like to hear more about each of these, this week's podcast episode is dedicated to these 7 habits of happy people!
Here's the link to listen!
Is there anything you would add to this list?

Truth post!
I struggle with confidence big time.
This might be surprising because I've been told that people admire my "confidence" and I'm like 😳!?!?
So often as women, we struggle with confidence.
Confidence in our decisions, how people perceive us, how we perceive ourselves, if we're doing "enough," if we're "good enough."
It's a struggle to own our decisions, to just go for it, to feel confident stepping into a space, taking up space, and using our unique voices just as we are.
I think about times that I've felt really confident, and times that I haven't of course.
The times I feel confident, I:
✨Don't stress so much about what other people think.
✨Give myself grace to mess up and be okay with f-ing up.
✨Am surrounded by people who uplift me and celebrate me regardless.
✨Am doing something I've practiced (and most likely messed up on before).
These 👆🏼are the things I'm currently focusing on to grow my confidence.
Because when we're more confident, we worry less, we enjoy life more, and we have more fun! 💃🏻
When do you feel most confident?
I am so excited to invite you to Coffee & Coaching in May!
It'll be Saturday, May 13th at 8am PST.

It's a spot to get clarity, a refresh, and receive coaching in a safe, supportive (Zoom 😉) environment.
Plus it's always fun to make new connections and surround yourself with women who want to uplift and support you! ❤️
So grab your coffee, tea, water, wine (whatever- no judgement here!) and join us for Coffee & Coaching in May!

I would sit in my car in front of school every morning on the phone with my mom, crying.
From the anxiety of what the day would bring.
What behaviors from students I would have to deal with that I wasn't equipped for.
What support I would receive (and more than often not receive).
From the stress of trying to teach AND raise kids that weren't even my own.
From the burden teachers are carrying and the pressure to "fix" the system.
Pouring into other people's kids, fighting the uphill battle that is teaching now, and feeling completely unappreciated and unvalued all combined to make me feel like s**t.
And no one deserves to feel like that day after day.
So one day I woke up and I realized I didn't want to feel like that everyday anymore.
And I made a HUGE change in my life, took a GIANT leap, and here we are.
Now I’m obsessed with helping women who feel stuck get themselves UNSTUCK and step into their FULLEST POTENTIAL to live their GREATEST LIFE EVERYDAY.
I would love to talk with you if you’re DONE feeling like there might be more out there, but you’re not sure where or how to start.
Let's chat!
There's literally nothing worse than expecting something to happen on a certain timeline, and then it doesn't happen.
Because then what?!
Give up? Panic? Cry? Flip out? (I've done all these things!)
Until I realized something so special.
So mind blowing. 🤯
So important.
What if it's NOT actually about getting to the end point?
In this week's podcast episode, we'll chat about this and how to let go of your timeline.
Let me know what you think!

I am just as guilty of this as anyone else.
Those negative thoughts and stories creep in and they can take over and put you in a really crappy mood.
What am I doing?
I can't do this.
Who would ever want to work with me?
Did I make a mistake?
I could never __.
The best thing to do with these feelings - give them space. Take a breath, exhale them out, then replace them with a feeling that can better serve you and how you're showing up.
The negative thoughts and stories serve a purpose; It's our brain's way of trying to keep us safe and in the familiar.
The best thing to do with the negative thoughts - again, make space for them. Recognize them. Then flip them upside down and change the damn story.
What am I doing? --> I love & trust myself enough to do something scary.
I can't do this. --> I'm doing it. It might not be perfect, but I'm taking the steps to keep moving forward.
Who would ever want to work with me?! --> I'm excited help people and I know I can.
Did I make a mistake? --> What can I learn from this moving forward?
I could never ___ --> Why NOT me?!
Easier said than done of course, and it takes daily (hourly even!) intentionality and focus.
But if we just keep chipping away, we'll get there. I don't exactly know where "there" is, but I know it's worth fighting for.
I am offering complimentary coaching sessions this month! Feel free to message me we can chat about the stories you're telling yourself and how to flip them upside down to move forward into a life you love! ❤️
I spent THOUSANDS of dollars and YEARS and YEARS on school to become a teacher. My undergrad, my credential, my masters, specialist credentials...
I literally thought all I knew how to do was teach and that I couldn't do anything else.
There was no way I would ever leave, because it's all I (thought) I knew how to do.
I made up these stories that teaching was it for me because I wasn't cut out to do anything else. All I knew how to do was teach.
But it turns out, these stories I made up (as a way to avoid how I was really feeling and stall out) are not actually true.
SO many of the skills and qualities a teacher possess transfer over to other fields and areas.
Think about it- you can manage (little) people, multitask like no other, and have the patience of a saint (literally).
What I've come to realize is that if you can teach, you can literally do ANYTHING.
And anything else will probably feel like a cake walk compared to teaching. (Sad, but true).
If you're feeling like all you know how to do is teach and you want to be mind blown - grab the 10 Jobs You Can Do Outside of Teaching.

Have you heard that most New Year’s Resolutions fail?
Do you know why?
Here's one of the reasons for failure – and a solution!
😬 Reason for failure: Unrealistic expectations – wanting too much of ourselves (or for ourselves) too fast.
👍🏼 The solution: Start small and consistently progress.
One year my New Year's Resolution was to make my husband an omelet once a week. True story. I'm a great wife 😉 This was during the pandemic lockdown so I had a lot of time on my hands at home.
I started small, with a goal I had (learn how to cook) and went from there. It wasn't overwhelming for me. I wasn't trying to make him a five course meal or anything…
I know you're dying to know...
I was actually able to do it and I succeeded at making 52 omelets over the year. HOWEVER, the first few (10+) were disgusting and nobody ate them.
I kept at it though, and got a little better over time. Now I make a mean ham and cheese omelet and I'm continuing to move toward my goal of learning how to cook, slowly but surely.
What's your goal? And how can you start small and move toward it??
