Hello friends!
For those that have already donated, I thank you from the bottom of my heart!
Some of you know that I’m a golf professional as well as the owner of Cha-Ya. My passion is coaching young golfers with the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA). And now I’m asking for a donation to benefit an amazing organization that is near and dear to my heart.
Youth On Course (YOC) is working to eliminate one of golf's biggest barriers for young people--cost.
I believe golf should be accessible to everyone, regardless of their socio-economic status. YOC provides an opportunity for children to play for as little as $5. Many children who might never become interested in golf, have benefited from the YOC program.
The game of golf teaches kids about honesty, integrity, and patience while also encouraging courtesy, and camaraderie. Through golf, children are taught they are responsible for their actions and personal conduct. They are taught to persevere through the bad bounces and unlucky lies life deals, while learning to cope and develop problem solving skills. Through golf’s lessons, children are more confident and become accountable people.
What a wonderful world it would be if all children had access to life’s lessons through golf. YOC provides for this.
In 2020, I raised over $7000 in donations. We sent over 1000 kids to the first tee, and helped them to experience one of life's greatest games. This time, I'm shooting for $10,000!
Playing 100 holes (25+ miles) over 12 hours will be tough, but here’s the hardest part for me is asking for your help. Please sponsor me for this event. Your sponsorship is a tax deductible donation.
I don’t like asking for money, so in return, I will personally match some of your donation by offering the following:
$100 donors will receive a private, guided premium saké tasting for 2 people at Cha-Ya San Francisco.
$250 donors will receive a private premium sake tasting for 6 people.
Do you have $500 to donate? Let me pour you and a friend a shot of the coveted Suntory Hibiki 21 YO and Yamazaki 18 YO Japanese whiskey from my personal collection. (IYKYK)
Please remember, no amount is too small.
Every dollar is greatly appreciated.
Please donate through the link below and I look forward to toasting your generosity!
Thank you for your support!

Dear Friends:
As you may know, I am a golf enthusiast and once again, I’m asking for a donation to support Youth On Course. We rely on the generosity of donors like you to make golf accessible to children.

We have some updates
Dear Friends of Cha-Ya Vegetarian Restaurant,
San Francisco has a new Health Order in place. Effective August 20, 2021, all customers over the age of 12, who wish to dine indoors will be required to show proof of vaccinations along with an ID (such as a drivers license or state ID card). We will also be limiting group size to 4 fully vaccinated adults indoors. If you wish to dine indoors, please have these documents available to show our staff. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.
Proof of vaccination is not required if you're just coming inside to pick up a take-out order. A well fitting mask is required for everyone when not actively eating indoors.
If you prefer to dine outdoors, please note that we do not have heaters. Please dress warmly as temperatures can drop into the 50-60's when the sun goes down.
Dine-in seating ends at 8:00pm nightly.
We are closed Monday and Tuesday,
If you’re looking for more ways to protect yourself and your loved ones, check out the CDC (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html) website. Rest assured that every employee at Cha-Ya is fully vaccinated.
Thank you so much for sticking with us. We look forward to continuing to support each other during these challenging times.

Hello friends,
I am the owner of Cha-Ya. I am also a 30-year flight attendant and I'm a Class A LPGA professional.
During this pandemic, I have been grounded by the airlines, and stymied from travel. Aside from keeping my restaurant afloat, it’s been a struggle to keep myself motivated, and in good physical shape. That is why, on November 2, I have decided to embark on a 100 Hole Hike to benefit an organization called Youth On Course (YOC).
YOC is working to eliminate one of golf's biggest barriers for young people--cost.
I believe golf should be accessible to everyone, regardless of soci-economic status. YOC provides an opportunity for children to play for as little as $5. Many children who might never become interested in golf, have benefitted from the YOC program.
The game of golf teaches kids about honesty, integrity, and patience while also encouraging courtesy, and camaraderie. Through golf, children are taught they are responsible for their actions and personal conduct. Through golf’s lessons, children are more confident and become accountable people.
What a wonderful world it would be if all kids had access to life’s lessons through golf. YOC provides for this.
Walking 100 holes over 12 hours will be tough, but here’s the hardest part for me.
I have a huge ask of you. Please sponsor me for this event.
I don’t like asking for money, so in return, I will personally match a part of your donation by offering the following:
$50 donors will receive a private, guided saké tasting for 2 people at my restaurant
$100 donors will receive the saké tasting and a $50 dining certificate
$250 donors will receive the above plus a 720ml. bottle of Kubota Manjyu Saké. (Google it, it’s amazing)
Sponsor me for $500 and I’ll your receive ALL of the above, plus a private omakase dinner at my restaurant for 4 people.
Thank you for your support!
