Our massaged Kale Caesar Salad was sooo popular during a recent wedding catering, that we had to put it back on the restaurant menu! It was interestingly our most popular item we had during our COVID deliveries. Reflecting back, this dish is one that kept our health and sanity going strong for such difficult times. This Marshmallow Brรปlรฉe Chocolate Cheesecake on our menu is my childhood dream. Growing up as a vegetarian kid, we never bought marshmallows, and the idea of eating bones, skin and who knows what other animal parts from gelatin, well was a deal breaker. Luckily we now have vegan marshmallows that give it that nice smoky flavor with the chocolatey and creaminess of a s'mores, but on a cheesecake! Our Arepitas with Plantains, Black Beans, Crema, Queso Fresco, Curtido and Salsas are a delicious example of mine and chef Luis's fusion creations as well of a compromise. Many don't know but we areย complete opposites and so are our taste buds so when we have a very passionate conversation over menu ideas we tend to get picante over our personal palate preferences. Many moons ago when my parents moved into a yoga community, Arepas were a staple dish growing up. There was a wonderful Venezuelan community of where I met my my sisters del alma, and even though we've moved to different destinations, when we see each other, our Spanish joy and huesitos know it. These fusion Arepas are similar to sopes, and mexicanized with the topping. And as many Mexican quotes mention "Crema" a tus Tacos, Enchiladas...etc, Luis also added crema, but I think my Venezuelan friends would agree that little bit of salsa Mexicana doesn't hurt anyone. What do you think?

Crazy how time flies and we're days away from 3day festival. This is one of the most detailed and organized event we've had the honor of being invited to and we're grateful to be a part of this experience again. Also it's super exciting to see another fellow vegan business on the food lineup ๐

Spinach Bolognese Lasagna. As chefs, we make food with the purpose of nourishing and bringing comfort to the soul. This lasagna dish was such a staple during times of COVID and the warm flavors brought us a moment of happiness during difficult times, we have brought this dish back and put it on the restaurant menu, lol and you do not have to heat it up (remember our frozen dinners?), it's a big piece of hotness so you can share with your loved one, or not, and save the rest for later. The vegan beer festival is back! We'll be there along with so many other talented vendors this Saturday from 11am-4pm ๐ All vendors will have a $4 option along with a larger menu available. We're bringing a Chikn Taco, Nachos and our Famous Clam Chowder for any coldies the rain may bring, altho we'll be inside the venue. There are tickets for Designated Drivers, GA, VIP and volunteer positions available. I'm back in my rancho with baby chef, connecting him with our roots and the flavors I grew up with. Part of knowing your identity as an immigrant is understanding your history, language and the traditions where you come from, I'm from a very small indigenous town where festivities (almost every weekend) are celebrated with food mixed with ancestral and colonial dishes of which many are plant based. Chef Luis and I come back here as often as we can to get in touch with nature and the flavors from this magical place to feed our souls and create new dishes or fusion ideas for our restaurant menu. And speaking of new menus, we have an exciting menu featuring for a Chikn Taco we'll be serving this weekend at the vegan beer festival this Saturday in SF! My love and partner Chef Luis will be at the booth cooking it up, so if you got the day off please stop by and check out the hardworking local vendors at this vegan event. Some look for happiness, others create it ๐ cooking has always been a joy since I was a kid and growing up vegetarian was always a challenge especially if we went out to dine with our family. Back in the 90's even the concept of being vegetarian was that you only ate salads, kinda how it is with being vegan nowadays. I can't remember how many times people have asked me since I have memory of being 6, "what do you eat? Don't you need meat? What flavors are in your life?" Since then Ive always felt the urge to share all the veg dishes I've learned, encountered through traveling, family dishes experimented and collaborative fusions with chef Luis. With so much information accessible nowadays, it's so easy to adopt a vegan menu, even if it's once a week. It's good for your health, karma and our planet ๐๐๐บ Come try our cosmic flavors inside and you'll be surprised!

This lavender cake I made for a special wedding had blueberries, berry compote in the middle, lemon cream cheese buttercream and a whole lotta Amor.
