We are back from a much needed vacation.

This summer we admitted over 900 new Metro freshmen! We are so excited to work our new cohort of students.

And it’s a wrap! Summer 2019 freshmen orientation has proved to be one to remember! Congrats to all!

Our amazing orientation team admitted 900 students into Metro for Fall 2019--biggest cohort since we start the program.

The Metro College Success Program (Metro) supports first-generation, low-income and/or historically underrepresented students in their success at San Francisco State University. Each Metro academy is a learning community with personalized in-class academic support, advising and tutoring.

Why Metro?

Adjusting to college can be challenging. Learning in a small, supportive community of students and faculty can help you thrive throughout your first two years and through to graduation. Metro’s goal is to help you graduate in a timely manner and gain the skills you need to succeed in college and find a meaningful career.
