What a glorious day it's been at Church on the Hill! Our Fall Community Group Kickoff was nothing short of a spiritual and social feast. Thank you to everyone who came out to be part of this special occasion. The atmosphere was charged with faith, friendship, and yes, a touch of football fever as we watched the 49ers game over lunch on the patio.

The purpose of our Community Groups is deeply woven into the fabric of our church community: Life is just better when we're doing it together. Whether you're new to the flock or have been with us for years, we believe that everyone deserves a space where they are known, cared for, and invested in. A Community Group offers just that—a small, welcoming circle where faith deepens and friendships flourish.

And did we mention the food? We were truly blessed with a spread of mouth-watering dishes for lunch and a delicious array of desserts. But the sweetest treat of all had to be the chocolate fountains in the lobby, where marshmallows, strawberries, and cookies took a delightful dip.

If today left you feeling spiritually nourished and socially connected, or if you weren't able to join us but would like to be part of a Community Group, don't hesitate! Email [email protected] to find out how you can get involved. We’re committed to making it easy for everyone to be part of a group because life is just better when we're in it together.

God Bless, and looking forward to an amazing Fall season in fellowship! 🍂

This Sunday marks a poignant moment at Church on the Hill as we bid a heartfelt farewell to our cherished Middle School Coordinator, Maggie Lozano. Throughout her tenure, Maggie has shone brightly, exemplifying humility, passion, and wisdom, consistently embodying the core values we esteem in our staff. As she embarks on a new chapter with her husband in Sacramento, we're reminded of the countless ways she's enriched our community. We are deeply grateful for every moment she's shared with us as we took one last moment to extend our appreciation and honor her remarkable journey with us.

We just finished hosting the 2023 Global Leadership Summit at Church on the Hill on August 3 & 4. Everyone is a leader, and this two-day leadership summit helped prepare us how to lead where we are. We want to thank everyone who attended to become better leaders in our communities, and especially the volunteers, staff, and people from around the Bay Area who came to attend GLS 2023. Now let’s get ready to be leaders for change knowing that together we can transform the world!

On Sunday, we were privileged to welcome David and Beth Penney, our Global Outreach partners from Tunisia. Their conversation with Susan, our Global Outreach Pastor, was a testament to their inspiring work across Africa and a reflection of the transformative power of faith. David and Beth shared their experiences of supporting the development of projects in North African communities, working alongside local leaders to spark change from within.

The Penneys’ ministry is committed to working with local leaders, many of whom are first-generation church leaders, by providing mentoring, teaching, strategic planning, and other forms of support. These leaders are a testament to the Church's growing influence in these communities and need our prayers to continue serving effectively.

Even though we may not have the opportunity to visit these regions in person, our connection and commitment can be expressed through prayers and donations to the Global Outreach fund. This support assists our partners, like the Penneys, in their mission to spread the gospel and make meaningful transformations in communities across the globe.

Let’s continue to uplift David, Beth, and their incredible ministry in our prayers and show our love for the world and our obedience to the Lord's calling to spread the gospel.

What a blessing it was to welcome Remo Paul, our newest Global Partner from India, to our Church on the Hill family!

Remo illuminated our hearts with stories of medical ministry and community development as he passionately works to uplift those living in poverty. His commitment to fostering health and self-sustainability, all while spreading the good news of Jesus, is truly inspirational.

We were also privileged to learn about the amazing work being done by Remo, his wife Susan, and their incredible team at the Reaching Hand Society. Their love for God and dedication to service radiates through every endeavor.

We hope you were there to witness firsthand the transformative power of faith and love in action. If not, don't fret. This is just the beginning of our journey with Remo and his team.

Join us in praying for their mission in India, and look forward to many more updates about this partnership. Let's continue to celebrate what God is doing globally through our extended family in Christ.

A joyous 173rd anniversary to our cherished Church on the Hill! 🎉 For nearly two centuries, God's unwavering faithfulness has seen us through, mirroring the resilience of our committed church family. We're eternally grateful for His divine love and guidance, which has blessed us with years of worship, fellowship, and service.

In the spirit of our anniversary, we continued our exploration of the 'Resilient Church' series this past Sunday, delving into the first three chapters of Revelations. These profound passages tell of seven letters to seven churches, revealing what's been done well and what could use a loving touch of improvement.

And now, it's time to reflect: what have we accomplished as a church? Where could we invite growth and improvement? Let's unite in reading and contemplating these pivotal chapters of Revelation, striving for further growth in faith as a church and as individuals.

We were thrilled to sweeten our celebration with special anniversary cookies 🍪 - we hope they brought a little extra joy to your day! Each delicious bite was not just a treat but a symbol of our shared journey and our commitment to the path ahead.

So here's to 173 years of faith, resilience, and spiritual growth and to the many more to come! Let's celebrate our church, its incredible journey, and the promising future that lies before us! ✨

It was a wonderful weekend celebrating all of the women of our church. Thank you for all the ways you show God's love.

Last Sunday, we had the privilege of witnessing the baptism of five incredible individuals. Your step of faith is a testament to God's transforming love and grace, and we're excited to see you embark on this faith journey!

Baptisms are a breath of fresh air in our church community. They remind us that God's life-changing power is still active at work today. Every baptism symbolizes the death of the old self and the birth of new creation in Christ. It's a visible declaration of an inward transformation, which is nothing short of miraculous.

To those in our congregation who have accepted Christ but have not yet been baptized, we encourage you to take this vital step. If you're unsure or have questions, don't hesitate to contact us. We're here to guide you through this essential part of your faith journey. Contact [email protected] to take this next step in your faith.

May we continue to witness God's love and transformative power in our lives, and may our faith community continue to grow stronger in Him.

We are thrilled to welcome our new Worship Pastor, Tyler Lee, to our community. Tyler recently moved to the Bay Area from Arkansas, and we are so excited to have him and his family join us.

Tyler is a gifted musician and a passionate worship leader, and we are eager to see how God will use his talents to lead us in worship and draw us closer to Him. Tyler is a father of two children, Samuel, who's almost three years old, and Alice, who's one-and-a-half years old. We know our congregation will embrace his family and make them feel right at home.

Let's join together in welcoming Tyler and his family to Church on the Hill, and let's pray that God will continue to bless them as they serve Him in this new season. Welcome, Tyler!
