Beautiful weather yesterday for our monthly longevity walk from City Hall to Discovery Meadow to see the inspiring Sophie Holding the World Together mural.

I joined Congressmember Lofgren, Assemblymember Rivas, and Gilroy Mayor Blankley this morning to celebrate the relaunch of MST bus line 59 from Salinas to Gilroy as an important transportation connector to Caltrain.

It was an honor this weekend receiving a Devotion scarf from my favorite soccer team!

Devotion scarves are given to the most devoted Earthquakes fans. The scarf will definitely be a part of my regular wardrobe. Go quakes!

Hello and happy Monday!

Caltrans is scheduled to close Southbound SR-87 this upcoming weekend of October 20, 2023. Caltrans will perform major pavement repair work during the 56-hour highway closure (between SR-85 and I-280) from Friday at 9PM, and conclude the following Monday no later than 5AM.

One traffic direction will be worked on at a time with detours in effect. All work is weather and conditions dependent.

This Saturday, September 23rd from 8:30AM-1:30PM, the annual Safe Communities Summit brings together representatives from the City of San José, local non-profit organizations, and San José residents to build and grow partnerships that help make San José’s community spaces safe, fun, and healthy for people of all ages to enjoy.

As one of the top five cancer deaths among women, with no diagnostic tests and very vague symptoms, Campbell Park is hosting The Teal Run on Sunday, October 1st from 8AM-11AM. This is a timed 5K along with a children course. 🏃‍♀️🏃

Your participation goes towards lifesaving research and support for women with ovarian cancer. There will be other activities such as art, prizes, medals for everyone, and dogs are welcome! For more information, please visit thetealrun.org. 💙

Longevity Walks give residents and myself the opportunity to explore the awesome streets of San Jose that are filled with niche small businesses and friendly residents.
