Their worship team will lead us in in a time of musical worship to our God, and one of their members will share their personal testimony, giving us an opportunity to hear about the transformative power of faith in someone's life. This is a great opportunity to come together as a community, to be encouraged in our faith journeys, and to build relationships with one another.

MEET OUR EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF STUDENT AFFAIRS AND PRESIDENTS LIAISON KELLY BUCHANAN l!
Kelly has worked at SDCC for the last ten year. She currently is the Executive Director of Student Affairs & President's Liaison. She has carried various roles and positions at SDCC, she started as Executive Assistant to the President, then transitioned to Director of Admissions and currently in the department of Student Affairs. She is an ordained pastor and before working at SDCC she was in full-time ministry at a local church serving as Executive Pastor and Pastor of Small Groups. Kelly is an alum of SDCC with her undergrad in Christian Ministries and her master's in leadership.
What makes Student Affairs outstanding is the students! As a department, we do what we do to provide the students a college experience they will always remember. This department is strategic with planning student events for the entire student body. Our goal is to offer events that student can participate in to build lifelong memories and friendships. The Spiritual life team is intentional in making chapel relevant to challenge the student spiritually and personally. Campus and Community Life wants to create clubs and interest groups to meet the needs of the diversity of the student body. The Resident Director and his team are committed to creating a resident life experience that provides creative activities in a safe environment along with much more! MEET OUR SPORTS INFORMATION DIRECTOR, DOUG SAMPSON!
Doug has been with SDCC for about 3 years! Doug is married to a lovely lady named Marsi (for 28 years 🙌). He has 2 kids Ben and Hayley and just became a grandfather to his granddaughter Mia (named after USA soccer legend Mia Hamm).
Doug is currently the Sports Information Director for the Hawks. “I came here after seeing an opportunity to take what I had learned in my career and apply it to collegiate sports. SDCC seemed like a perfect fit and It was!”
We asked Doug what his favorite part about his job was and he said, “The best thing about my job is getting to meet and develop relationships with all of the incredible student-athletes, coaches and staff here at SDCC. As a fan of pretty much every sport, my job is the best! I not only get to know these athletes, but get to watch them compete at the collegiate level as well!”
The SID position has so many different aspects to it, marketing, journalism, graphic design, game/event management, stat reporting, and so much more. It is truly never boring. Right now, Doug has several of our great student-athletes helping me out as interns, working in the areas they are interested in most. “Getting to help mentor the next generation of sports marketing and sports business executives is truly a blessing.”
To know Doug it to love him, show him some appreciation in the comments!!

Since she is a senior this year, we asked Cynnadie what she would miss about SDCC and she said, “One thing I will miss is just the connections I’ve built with the underclassmen and professors here!”
Give Cynnadie some love in the comments below!!!⭐️🔥
