🎉Starting May 1st, every first of the month we'll be hosting community food drives to keep our fridges full! Thank you, everyone, for keeping this community fed♡ This work only happens with individual community members like you stepping up!

Apply today! The waiting list for the Vallejo Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program is open until March 5, 2024 at 5pm! This is the first time since 2015 that the city of Vallejo has opened the Section 8 waiting list so do not delay!

Residents who wish to be added to the lottery for a chance at placement on the waitlist must apply online by March 5, 2024 at 5:00 pm.

The applicant’s income must not exceed 50% of the median income for the Vallejo/Fairfield area, which ranges from $40,050 per year for one person, to $75,550 for a family of eight. Applicants must be 18 years or older or legally emancipated, be a U.S. citizen, or have eligible immigration status.

Our unhoused neighbors are hurting in this cold and rainy weather! MCF and Juntxs for Change teamed up today to put together care packages, and make some PB & Js and warm meals of pasta! You can too! Our neighbors need us!
It's as easy as grabbing some snacks, fresh socks, and waters and divvying them up into bags & just passing them out! Collect jackets, blankets, rain ponchos- anything warm or that can keep people dry!

As rain clouds gather, let's make sure our unsheltered neighbors have the protection they need. We're collecting rain ponchos to distribute to those in need. Your contribution can make a real impact!

LGBTQ+ Youth Programs are back!

We are thrilled to re-launch our Sparks Groups, social gathering spaces for LGBTQ+ youth. Join us for the one-time Friendsgiving event on Thursday, November 16 from 5pm-6pm at at the Northgate Mall in San Rafael.

TWO important farm stand updates!

1) The hours will be 3-5 pm starting tomorrow due to the end of daylight savings.

2) Our final farm stand of 2023 is next Wednesday, November 15th. We can barely believe it is almost time for our last one. The season went by so fast!

Please consider buying something extra for your nearest community fridge next time you go grocery shopping! As winter begins and it grows colder, there's more of a need than ever!
Packaged meals that can be heated up are especially appreciated this time of year! If you make a large pot of soup, or pasta, any meal, consider packaging some up & sharing some with a community fridge! Thank you everybody, we keep us fed❤️
