Children Services assists in creating partnerships with families to reach the common goal of safe and healthy children.
Erie County is in need of foster and adoptive families. After hours reports can be made by calling 419-625-7951. Erie County Department and Job and Family Services has the following departments located within the agency;Family and Workforce (Foodstamps, cash and medical benefits), Child Support, Children Services and Your Job Store.

Did you know that June is world Elder Abuse Awareness month? An important movement to increase awareness in your own community as well as the many vulnerable adults who experience some form of abuse or neglect. Stand with us and help raise awareness and be their voice!
Erie County JFS will be closed today, Monday, May 27, 2024 in observance of Memorial Day. In the event of an emergency or wish to speak to our oncall staff regarding concerns of child/elder abuse or neglect please call the Erie County Sheriff’s Office.

We held our annual Aiding Children’s Excellence Awards banquet last night. It was an amazing night. Thank you to all those who attended. Congratulations to all of our amazing foster parents, award nominees and award winners!
