In 1962, President John F. Kennedy signed a proclamation which designated May 15th as Peace Officers Memorial Day and the week in which that date falls as Police Week, which honors those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice. 911TI remembers those fallen heroes, their surviving families, and their agencies.

Anaheim PD Sgt. Bob Flores remembered with laughs and hugs It was the kind of send-off Robert Flores would have loved. Hundreds of friends, family, and former colleagues gathered Tuesday at Beatitudes of the Lord Catholic Church in La Mirada to say goodbye to Flores, or “Bob,” “Bobby,” or “Tinker” as some of the old-timers remember him.
On this day one year ago, Officer Rick Nilos passed away in his sleep. He was only 35 years old and left behind a lovely wife and three young sons. We remember him as a dedicated family man and Police Officer. May he continue to watch over us as he rests with his Heavenly Father. EOW 3-29-17.
Today we mourn the passing of Anaheim Police Sergeant Bob Flores who passed away this morning. Bob was 74 years old and worked as a full-time member of APD for 34 years (1966-2000). He then continued working as a retired annuitant for several years.
Bob was a legend at APD and many of the current and retired employees name Bob as one of their top mentors.

Dear CPK Supporters,
Every day our local law enforcement and firemen place themselves in harms way to serve and protect our citizens. Our hearts grieve over the heroes that lose their lives daily sacrificing themselves for our safety. It's in moments like these that we can come together in solidarity to support the families that reel in the loss of our officers and firemen that are aware of the risks involved with an honor to serve and protect with humility and integrity. My heart aches for Officer Gregg Casillas' family and the entire Pomona Police Department. There is a brotherhood that ties us all together and it's in our compassion that we can support each other when it's needed most.
All CPK locations will be hosting a fundraiser on Tuesday, April. 3rd 2018 in partnership with the Pomona Police Officer’s Association to support the family of fallen Pomona Police Officer Gregg Casillas. On March 9, 2018, Officer Casillas was fatally shot in the line of duty.
Officer Casillas has been a member of the Pomona Police Department family since March of 2015 when he was hired as a Pomona Police Records Specialist. In November 2015 he transferred to the Pomona City Jail as a Pomona Police Jailer. In March of 2017 he was hired as a Pomona Police Officer Recruit. Gregg graduated from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Academy in September of 2017 and was sworn in as a Pomona Police Officer. Gregg is survived by his wife Claudia, sons Gregorio (4 years old) and Mariano (5 months old), father Gregory Casillas, mother Marisela Casillas, and brothers Dominick and Shawn.
Please help us spread the word and support the Casillas Family and the Pomona Police Department together!
I have provided a flyer that will be accepted at all CPK Southern California locations.
With Heartfelt Gratitude,
