PTO held their annual Meet & Greet with teachers and staff for the 2024-2025 school year today. Thank you PTO for being active participants at Mendez Fundamental Intermediate. We appreciate our Mendez PTO and wonderful parent volunteers for making this an unforgettable 2024! All your hard work did not go unnoticed and we are greatful for all your support.

We’re thrilled to celebrate Mendez Fundamental Intermediate School’s own Cassandra Cabrera, named an Orange County Teacher of the Year! 🎓🍎 The Orange County Department of Education’s surprise caravan made a stop at her school, announcing this textbook achievement. 📖✨

Ms. Cabrera’s dedication and hard work earned her a $25,000 prize, and now she’s in the running for the state Teacher of the Year award! 🏆 Way to write your success story, Ms. Cabrera! 🖊️

We would like to wish a Happy Administrative Professionals’ Day to our amazing office staff! We appreciate all the work to keep school operations running smoothly and efficiently!

We look forward to seeing everyone at our Open House this Thursday, April 25th. We extend an invitation to all our Mustang families and our SAUSD community to see the amazing work being done by our scholars! Our GATE Symposium will take place in our school gym!

This Thursday, April 11, all 8th grade students will participate in the panoramic picture. Students MUST wear their school uniform to participate. Panoramic picture order forms were sent home with students on Monday, April 8th.

Spring Recess will take place from April 1st through April 5th. Classes will resume on Monday, April 8th. We hope our Mendez family enjoys their break!

There will be an 8th grade parent/guardian meeting Thursday, March 21, to discuss end of the year activities. Attendees will enter a raffle to win a free Knott’s Berry Farm ticket or an 8th grade dance ticket courtesy of Mendez PTO.
