What's growing on at the Madison Garden?

Students and parents learned about the marigold 🏵plant. They planted their own seeds. 🌱 They ate organic mandarins🍊 and did mindfulness exercises! 🧘‍♀️

Madison parents stopped by the garden today to celebrate Earth day by planting beans, squash, tomatoes, peppers, radish, cucumbers, eggplants and other vegetables.

Name-calling incidents were turned into discussions in our We Care Club about how bullying and name-calling affects people, which turned into brainstorming ways in which we can make students feel safer to be themselves at school, which then turned into student-made and displayed posters. 🌈❤️

Yesterday’s We Care Resource & Education Fair was a huge success and great community event. It was great to see so many Madison students and families, past and present, having a fun time. Thank you for bringing us in to represent elementary school counseling a with our colleagues at and ❤️❤️❤️

Today Mr. Brandon and school counselors from and spoke at the Board Meeting to share about how the investment in 250:1 student-to-counselor ratios has been making a positive impact on our school communities. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

❣️Mr. Brandon was recognized as a 2024 Orange County School Counselor of the Year and presented on empowering neurodiversity at the OC Counselor Symposium
❣️Councilmember Jessie Lopez visited our site and school counseling office to recognize Mr. Brandon and learn about our elementary school counseling program
❣️All of this on top of our regular duties like individual counseling, check-in check-out, crisis management, and more!
