TK had a wonderful morning at the Arroyo Burrow Watershed! We learned about the importance of keeping our beaches and land clean in order to protect sea life and preserving our water. We are risk takers and inquirers! 💚

Students are full of energy and their brains work best when we can tap into their energy to help them learn. Reading the room to learn rhyming words is one fun way!

Teachers now all trained in Freckle, a computer adaptive math and ELA platform to build individual skills based on student needs! Thanks SBUSD!

We finally mounted our student art commemorating the end of the pandemic! All Harding student shouted, “Take THAT COVID!” as they used a sling shot to shoot paint on the “Transform” canvas. The “Transcend” canvas was a students blindfolded imagination of life without COVID! Go Hawks and a huge shout out to Dr. Sean O’Brien!

UCSB Kids in Nature (KIN) visit HUPS Kindergarten. They chose healthy fruits to be their new nutrition names. These will be their names when KIN visit weekly!

Mrs. Anderson and Mrs. Menegon’s TK classes gave thanks to for their amazing garden kits!! What an amazing day learning and planting. They planted: broccoli, kale, mint, lettuce, spinach, rosemary and lavender. They are excited to watch them grow and learn how to take care of plants. Thank you for your generosity and for providing our students with such an enriching experience. 🪴 🌱 ☀️ 💦
