WE GROW LEARNERS.
Learning happens everywhere. Therefore, at SBCA, we support students in developing the skills, mindsets, and the desire to learn and acquire knowledge in all parts of life and with diverse people. We do this by developing the academic, social-emotional, creative, and physical components that encompass the whole child. Through integrated learning experiences that incorporate science, technology, engineering, the arts and math (STEAM), and social-emotional learning (SEL), students develop the skills that allow them to be independent and life-long learners.
Strong reading and writing skills are vital for our students to have as they enter junior high. Therefore, we emphasize a balanced approach to literacy that includes phonics, extended time to read and write in all content areas, and time to engage in structured collaborative conversations.
Our vision is to cultivate curiosity, empathy, and develop skilled learners through connected & meaningful learning experiences that empower students to solve problems and make a difference in the world.
