Nessie is adoptable and fully trained on and off leash!!! She is a 1 year old 35lb husky/poodle mix and is great with people and boy dogs! She would be best in a home with another boy dog but not likely young kids as she really loves her nap/rest time 8 hours per day! Please share this post or help us hand out flyers with her picture on it!

We were so happy to have Rosie back at Day Camp, she will soar so far! 🤩

Is your puppy sleeping enough? Times puppies are coming in here with behavior, such as chewing on things, barking, whining, crying, and biting people. Although we always want to train the dog and we want to work on teaching them the right behaviors and stopping unwanted behaviors. We also wanna make sure we’re not simply dealing with a cranky pup that’s not getting enough sleep. Often times this lack of downtime early on in the dogs. Life actually translates to a dog that struggles with settling for the rest of their life. When we condition our dog properly to be resting and sleeping the amount of time that is appropriate, they are going to be much more likely to be restful calm dog as they mature into adulthood. In addition, having them in the crate simply prevents them from doing unwanted behaviors when they are cranky or they are needing a nap. I would say even my three-year-old dog pretty much rests 22 hours a day unless we have something exciting going on.

Sometimes we try to do what we can
But we cannot try so hard
That we break that we fold that we give in
We need someone to help
Sometimes we don’t know it
But we are afraid to ask for help
We are afraid to accept that we don’t know
Or maybe even that we simply don’t care
As much as we think we do
Whatever the reason
We need help we need support we need another being to guide us
The longer the live the quicker I am
To notice the one who knows what I do not
To ask for help from the one who has the answer
To the question that I seek

It’s hard sometimes when as children we don’t have the resources we don’t have the tools or the access to help
It’s hard to remind that child that they are an adult now
And there are people we can seek out that can truly help us now
We don’t have to be afraid anymore we can find a way out
And when I’m the one who knows what they don’t know
Who has the solution already
I’ll always be there when they are ready
And I’ll always be happy to see them soar
Even if that means I have to push them off a cliff
Sometimes
If only for them to see
That it wasn’t a physical cliff at all
It was the cliff that represents the end of failure
And the beginning of real success

To think at one time this was a young dog who was super scary with other dogs….his mom put in a lot of work and we did also…together he is a role model to other dogs and even when in a very high stress situation he makes great choices on his own! Keep up Louie!’
