Every year, Maravilla challenges residents to participate in a variety of different workout classes and options to inspire everyone to stay healthy and keep moving. Great job to everyone who participated on Team Maravilla! 🚲

💡 Connecting with others isn't just important– it's essential, especially for our residents! From prolonging independence to promoting cognitive function, social bonds bring immense benefits to our resident's everyday lives. 🧠

Our residents enjoyed a very oh-so-festive 4th of July!🎇💙 We gathered together for a poolside party with live music and classic American barbeque.

Our group here at Maravilla took on the challenge of rock climbing last month, and they absolutely crushed it! Their determination and adventurous spirit inspired us all. We’re proud of our group for staying socially and physically active together. 💪

We celebrated a wonderful Father’s Day last weekend! Our "Dad’s & Dogs" event included hotdogs with all of the fixings and a putting contest. Such a beautiful Santa Barbara day to enjoy time with family and friends. ⛳️🌭🎉

We celebrated all our incredible dads yesterday with a Father’s Day ‘Dads & Dogs’ event! Between the backyard BBQ and a lively golf putting contest, everyone had a blast. Wishing everyone a very Happy Father’s Day from our Maravilla community! ⛳ 🌭

Our wonderful residents came together to celebrate Memorial Day with some fun and time spent in the Santa Barbara sunshine. We honored the brave men and women who have served our country and paid homage with gratitude! ❤️💙

Living well doesn't have to stop as you age! We promote healthy aging with a variety of enriching experiences, including our Floor Yoga Flow series. 🧘 Each week, our wonderful resident, Tara Brown, guides other residents through a yoga flow that encourages health and wellness at any age. ✨

We had a paw-some time hosting our very own petting zoo! 🐾 Our residents had a blast getting up close and personal with our furry friends. It's moments like these that make our community truly special! 🌟🐐🐥

Today we participated in Pump It for Parkinson's 👟 We pledged 90,000 steps and planned on it all day but we hit it by noon! 🧡💜

Our residents and staff are coming together on World Parkinson’s Day on April 11th for NIFS Pump It for Parkinson's. We are pumped to participate in this nationwide event helping to raise awareness to the 10 million individuals living with Parkinson's Disease worldwide! 💪👟💜

We had our very own Farmer's Market here at Maravilla today.

Artisan Chocolates from local Chocolatier, Marley Confections, and other featured products like locally grown, fresh cut roses and flowers, were sold just in time for Valentine’s Day! 💝

We also had delicious artisan breads and plenty of produce ready to snack on during this Sunday's Super Bowl! 🏈

A huge thank you to our Food Service Director Carlos Rueda, Dining Manager Ty McKnight, and Dining Supervisor Omer Bharoocha for facilitating such a wonderful event.

On Veterans Day, we held a meaningful ceremony featuring the anthems of each military branch, providing a platform for all of our Veterans to stand and be honored. Following the ceremony, we visited the Memorial Walk and Terrace of Remembrance at Elings Park, pausing to reflect on the bravery and sacrifices of those who served.

We continue to express our deepest gratitude to the heroes who have defended our freedom. Thank you for your service and dedication. 🇺🇸

Our very own resident Dennis Mcclatchey recently created this incredible video of our Maravilla community outing to the boxing gym! Denny is a wonderful video editor on YouTube, he’s a past president of Maravilla's Resident Council, and the host of our own game show Maravilla’s Believe it or Not as well! 🤩

This boxing program helps with balance, stability, cardio, upper body strength, mind/body connection, mental health, and can be low impact or high intensity. Coach Dan knows our residents and how to teach them boxing basics with additional techniques so beginners and long time boxers can get a great workout! 🥊

Maravilla Santa Barbara showed our support of the local community by sponsoring the California Lemon Festival in Goleta! 🍋 This year marked the 30th anniversary of this popular event that attracts thousands of attendees each day. This fun-filled event included pie-eating contests, live entertainment, a Classic Car Show. and a local business trade show. ✨

🤔 Fun Fact: Lemons are one of the largest cash crops along this coastal area of California.

We’re heading to the Goleta Lemon Festival! 🍋🎉 Residents will experience wonderful food, a vibrant family atmosphere, and a variety of entertainment and activities. Plus, the Goleta Fall Classic Car Show will be perfect for our car enthusiasts. Everyone’s looking forward to enjoying this fantastic festival together!
