SASE UCSB
Welcome to the Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers at UC Santa Barbara!
SASE at UCSB serves to create a community of students who aim to help each other succeed in college and in their chosen careers afterwards. Through events and programs catered to professional development, academic support, and community involvement, we hope that you are able to better yourself and make lasting connections and friendships!
We decided to feature one of our chapter’s key role models and science major alumni, Swetha Cherukuri, for day! Here are some nice things she had to say about SASE:
"When I joined SASE at the beginning of my freshmen year, I found an irreplaceable family that has loved, supported, and encouraged me at every turn, even when I lost faith in myself. Having the privilege of being involved in SASE at the local, regional, and national levels has given me the opportunity to spread that love and support around our SASE community as well as to help guide others to discovering their full potentials and develop their leadership capabilities. SASE has changed and shaped my life in countless ways - from connecting me with people all across the country to giving me the space to grow as a friend, leader, and just an overall person. SASE has been the source of so many memories and adventures I wouldn't trade for anything and I look forward to continuing to share my experiences with younger SASEters and providing them with the support system that has helped me in so many ways."
Stay tuned for more posts!
Starting off with an informative graphic made by one of our co-presidents about the COVID vaccines! The time for everyone being eligible is right around the corner and we wanted to spread this info to allow our community to feel more comfortable about the vaccinations.
