We’re thrilled to share the completion of our renovation project for Inatai Foundation in Downtown Seattle. The transformation began with a complete demolition, stripping the space down to make way for a modern, functional environment. A key focus of this rebuild was enhancing the acoustic properties, with noise-reducing acoustical wood ceilings ensuring quiet, adaptable workspaces for private meetings with grantees. To provide flexibility for hosting events, we installed motorized operable partitions that allow for versatile room configurations while effectively reducing noise as well. The design also thoughtfully incorporates Native artwork throughout the space, reflecting Inatai’s commitment to empowering communities advocating for social change.

The Chicago office hit the links last weekend for a fantastic day of bonding, laughter, and friendly competition. Although most of us fell short of earning our Tour Card, we all had a great time bonding with our teammates.

Check out some highlights from our recent two-day team building retreat. Our team had an incredible opportunity to deepen connections, share innovative ideas, and enhance collaboration across all regions. And of course, we had a lot of fun along the way!

Nothing says summer like a day at the ballpark! We peeled our interns away from their jobsites for an afternoon to enjoy a Seattle Mariners game; a perfect opportunity to get in team bonding time and to make some summer memories with our Skyline crew. Cheers to building strong connections on and off the field.

Mission Rock Development is now the proud home of an advanced Electrical R&D Laboratory and Showroom! This cutting-edge space offers upgraded lab facilities and modern offices for our client. We are pleased to unveil the Residence Inn by Marriott, a premier accommodation located in the heart of Chicago's commercial district. With luxurious amenities and a prime location, this hotel is designed to cater to discerning travelers. As the 2024 Democratic National Convention approaches, the Residence Inn promises to be a popular choice for conventioneers flocking to the city.

Skyline took on the role of general contractor for the transformation of a once-shuttered hotel into the 289-room Marriott Residence Inn, located just off Chicago’s iconic Magnificent Mile. Our team expertly converted standard suites into extended-stay rooms by adding modern kitchenettes and refreshing the paint and carpet in both the rooms and hallways.

In addition to these updates, we enhanced the building’s amenities. This included the construction of a ground-floor restaurant and bar, featuring specialty lighting, and the creation of a dedicated breakfast buffet room with a stunning view into downtown Chicago.

Skål! 🍻 Saluhall SF is San Francisco's newest food hall, with 11 places to eat and drink across its two floors. Our team had a blast building this vibrant space focusing on sustainability and community. The space also includes the Cookery Skola, a venue where people can learn to cook a variety of dishes from experienced chef instructors.

Custom millwork, unique lighting, and high-end finishes create a fun atmosphere to encourage people to get together and eat, drink, or learn. State-of-the-art commercial kitchens make sure every bite is delicious.

We had so much fun working with the teams at Ingka Centres, CBRE, Stiff + Trevillion, and GreenbergFarrow to bring this fun space to life. Smaklig måltid!

Here is a glance into Panasonic's award-winning, new office space located in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. Their 130,000 sq. ft. design-build project was recently recognized as Office Project of the Year at the 2024 Illinois RE Journals CRE Awards. This project involved the consolidation of three business units under one roof, along with a new mechanical system for the entire building, server and IDF rooms, new warehouse space, and a 6,000-square-foot customer experience center to showcase Panasonic North America's products and technology. Wiring a commercial space is no easy task, but wiring nearly 300 rooms with new kitchenettes, plus a new bar, restaurant, and buffet area, takes it to another level. Thankfully, Skyline has incredible trade partners like G&M Electrical Contractors who make it look effortless.

Each year, our team develops a safety motto that reminds us of our commitment to safe construction practices. This year, it is "Safe Habits Save Lives," emphasizing the importance of safety, enhancing jobsite morale, and underscoring our dedication to safe practices for clients.

Our Chicago team teamed up with Gensler to help a homeowner in need for Rebuilding Together's National Rebuilding Day on April 27. From installing railings to adding a fresh coat of paint, landscaping, and tackling general maintenance tasks, we're honored to lend our skills and expertise to help make a meaningful impact in the community.
