"May I stress the need for courageous, intelligent, and dedicated leadership. Leaders of sound integrity. Leaders not in love with publicity, but in love with justice. Leaders not in love with money, but in love with humanity. Leaders who can subject their particular egos to the greatness of the cause."

May we all echo Dr. King’s legacy on his birthday and beyond as we move forward.

After all the glitz and glam of a conference is over, there is always a team still there, striking down all 16 meeting spaces + the general session, the same team that was there days before the conference, setting it all up. The same team that made so many contributions along the journey and gave up their time to make sure every person at the NCSA Conference would say, "I can't wait to come back next year, this was just what I needed." And, no one could probably name any of them as they are the most humble heroes I know and do this work just to make the world better for students and teachers alike. Thanks to the CASL (California Association of Student Leaders) Advisory Team Jose Duenas, Ryan Willer, Dylan Gadeke, Andrew Smith and Jacklyn Uweh! Shout out Lucca Petrucci for stepping in to do the many hauls to the car with us!
