Attention Members! Today's the Day! Join us for an annual Memorial Day BBQ.

Think steaks, BBQ chicken, and giant hot dogs. Of course, that’s not nearly enough - so add in fries, chili, salads and Mike Mitchell’s famous garlic bread (thank you in heaven, Mike). All your favorite chefs will be cooking toay - Ed Lake’s crew, Mike Venezio’s crew, Eric Aasen, Billy Starrs and Ron Shoemaker. Plus, Kelly and Olga of course! BTW, Kelly and Kimberley will be wheeling out the Tiki Bar around 10:30 a.m. to serve up their Trademark #824 Bloody Marys … a meal in itself!

But wait! We need MORE FOOD! That’s where YOU come in! Our much-appreciated and popular Dessert Table awaits your cookies, pies, cakes, etc. Bake up something yummy and bring it in. We’ll set it out and price it.

The Lodge is hosting Ohana Comic Con today! This event is open to the public from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Admission is $8.

There is a cosplay costume contest, it was held at 2 p.m. last year and they gave a prize to everyone. Last year they also had R2-D2 rolling around and beeping at people.

This is not a stereotypical "comics only" show. They have about 35 vendors who sell:

- Comic books and media
- Autographed photos
- Anime figures and media
- Cool Jewelry and phone charms
- Trading cards and kits
- Pop Funko Toys
- Plush characters
- Lego Figurines for $5-$8
- And other quirky items

The cafe will be open to purchase food but the bar will not be open.

Attention Elks Lodge Members! Join us for NFL Championship Games this Sunday. We are going to open the Lodge tomorrow, Jan. 28 to watch the NFL playoff games!

The Lodge will open at 11:30 a.m. It will be the Kansas City Chiefs vs. the Baltimore Ravens and noon. And then the San Francisco 49ers host the Detroit Lions at 3:30 p.m. The bar will be open and drinks available for purchase.

Groovy Judy Night at the Santa Cruz Elks Lodge Come on down to the Lodge for Peace, Love, Happiness and Dancing. Proceeds will support Elk's Children's Charities.

Our Annual Hoop Shoot/Free Throw Contest is tomorrow, Sunday, Dec. 17! Kids ages 8-13 are invited to shoot hoops for trophies and other cool prizes! The event will be held at Kaiser Permanente Arena. Registration is at 10 a.m., the contest begins at 10:30 a.m. The event is free.

Raising flags starts at 6:30 a.m. and lowering the flags happens at 3:30 p.m. No experience necessary, all ages welcome! This is a great family activity.

On Friday, Nov. 10 the Lodge welcomes State President Ted Talbot for an evening celebrating our local veterans along with food, fun and friends. The dinner is complimentary for Elks veterans.

Scholarship Opportunity‼️
There's still time to apply for the 2023 Most Valuable Student Scholarship contest! The scholarship is available to high school seniors who are U.S. citizens. Applications are judged on academics, leadership, service and financial need. The application is completed online and must be submitted by Monday, Nov. 13, 2023 at 11:59 PT.
