Cordyceps mushrooms are a powerful adaptogen in Traditional Chinese Medicine, known for boosting energy, supporting the immune system, and enhancing lung function—making them especially beneficial during autumn.
🍄🟫As the season of the Lungs, autumn is a time when we are more vulnerable to respiratory issues and seasonal changes. Cordyceps are prized for their ability to strengthen Lung Qi, increase oxygen uptake, and improve endurance, helping the body adapt to cooler weather and ward off colds and fatigue. Incorporating cordyceps into your routine can be an excellent way to nourish your body, boost vitality, and stay resilient throughout the autumn months.

CV17, also known as Shanzhong or the “Sea of Tranquility,” is a powerful acupuncture point located on the chest, directly on the centerline at the level of the fourth rib. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, this point is essential for regulating the flow of Qi, especially in the chest and lungs, making it particularly relevant during the autumn season.
🍁 Autumn is the time when the Lung and Large Intestine meridians are most active, and CV17 helps strengthen Lung Qi, relieve chest tightness, and calm emotions like grief, which are often associated with this season.
🍁 Stimulating CV17 with acupuncture or acupressure, can also help open the chest, ease breathing, and support immunity—key aspects of staying balanced and healthy as we transition into the cooler months.
Happy World Mental Health Day! How is your Lung Qi? In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the health of the Lung Qi is crucial, especially during the autumn season. The Lungs are responsible for respiration, regulating Qi, and controlling the skin and immune defenses. To build your lung qi, lifestyle practices like exercise, breath work, and cupping to open the lungs are very beneficial.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine autumn is the season associated with the Lung and Large Intestine meridians, which are responsible for maintaining our body’s immunity and processing grief or emotions.
Golden Milk, with its warming spices like turmeric and ginger, supports the body’s natural defenses as we transition into colder weather. Turmeric has anti-inflammatory and immune-boosting properties, while ginger aids digestion and warms the body, making this drink ideal for preventing colds and balancing the body during the dry, windy autumn months. Sipping on Golden Milk can nourish the body, fortify the immune system, and help maintain internal harmony as we adjust to seasonal changes.
