Let's throw it back to 2017 when Sarah Dushimimana, a remarkable graduate of Rwamagana Leaders’ School (RLS), embarked on her journey to success! 🚀

After excelling in her studies with a stellar score of 73 points in History, Economics, and Geography (HEG), Sarah pursued higher education at the University of Rwanda's College of Education. 📚 In the 2018/2019 academic year, she majored in Education with a focus on Geography and Economics, quickly establishing herself as the top-performing student in her department. 🏆

Sarah credits her outstanding achievements to the solid foundation laid at RLS, where she honed her confidence, communication, and presentation skills. 💼 Armed with these skills and her leadership experience from RLS, Sarah assumed leadership roles as the President of the College of Education Debating Club and the Vice President of the Governance Club. 🗣️

Throwing it back to the Class of 2018, where one of our exceptional alumni, Noella Nizigama, has soared to new heights! 🚀

Noella was awarded a full scholarship from The Gandhian Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM) to pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. 📚 Noella's journey began when she joined Rwamagana Leaders’ School in 2017, seeking refuge from the turmoil in Burundi. Despite the challenges she faced, she graduated from RLS in 2018 and became a shining example of resilience and determination. 💪

Reflecting on her remarkable journey, Noella shares, "When I came to Rwanda escaping the insecurity in Burundi, I had no hope that I would even continue studying. But when I approached Rwamagana Leaders’ School, I was given a chance to study, and that changed my story." 🌟

Throwing it back to the 2019-2020 academic year when Rwamagana Leaders’ School had the pleasure of welcoming Ms. Leah Rose Dunlevy as our Princeton in Africa Fellow! 🎉

Leah, a graduate from Northwestern University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism and International Studies, brought her passion for the environment and education to our school community. 📚

Hailing from the great State of Minnesota, Leah was eager to witness Rwanda's rapid development and the transformative education offered at RLS. With her background in environmental investigative journalism, Leah worked tirelessly to strengthen our Environment program. 🌿

During her fellowship, Leah played a pivotal role in our Weekly Accelerated Study Program (WASP), where she guided students in applying for scholarships, honing their English skills, preparing for language tests like ESAT and TOEFL, and developing essential research skills. 🎓

Additionally, Leah dedicated her time to bolstering our Media Club and Debating Club, leaving a lasting impact on our school community. 🗣️

Let's give a round of applause to our incredible former student, Uhiriwe Grace, for her remarkable achievement! 🎉 Uhiriwe participated in the prestigious Yale Young African Scholars (YYAS) program in Nairobi, Kenya, where she represented Rwanda among a select group of African secondary school students. 🌍

📚 YYAS is a highly competitive program offering a seven-day residential experience aimed at introducing students to the U.S. university application process and requirements, all at no cost to participants. Grace's selection from Rwanda spoke volumes about her talent and dedication! 🎓

👏 Grace, who served as our school's head prefect, credited her journey to the invaluable support and guidance she received from our programs, teachers, and volunteers at Rwamagana Leaders’ School. - Eddy Thomas, a former student of Abbotsford Senior Secondary, envisioned building a basketball court for an African school.
