A Sneak Peek at ✨Alice by Heart✨

We hope that you’ll join us for Alice By Heart: A 2-Night Only Fundraising Event on July 12 & 13! 100% of proceeds go toward the upcoming season at SLOC. We have so many special treats down the rabbit hole! Wonderland themed baked goods will be for sale both nights of the show, artwork by actors IN the show will be auctioned off each night, and even a special MAD HATTER mug made by a local artist, will be up for auction both nights of the fundraiser. Take a piece of the show home with you! 🎩🐛😺♥️

Alice by Heart tells the story of two teens dealing with grief, love, loss, and the timeless tale of growing up and discovering who we truly are. Set during the war in London in 1941, the characters take shelter from the bombings in the underground train tunnels, as Alice Spencer dreams up a world from her favorite storybook, to preserve time.

If you loved this season’s production of “Spring Awakening” you won’t want to miss this one! The same writing team brought these unforgettable songs and stunning story to life!

Be a part of the capital region premiere of this haunting new musical. Take a sneak peek down the rabbit hole with these amazing photos and be sure to get your tickets at sloctheater.ludus.com! 🎟️🎟️

They're not regular adults- they're cool adults! Meet the teachers and parents that round out the cast of Mean Girls High School Version!

Ms. Norbury:
Cady’s world-weary Calculus teacher who pushes Cady to be her smartest self. 👓👩‍🏫

Mrs. Heron:
Cady’s intellectual mom who can’t understand why her daughter is devolving before her eyes. 🦁🐘

Mrs. George:
Regina’s “cool mom.” She’s desperate to look young and feel like one of the teens. She’s also desperate for Regina not to repeat her mistakes.🍹🐶💄

Mr. Duvall:
The principal of North Shore High. Mr. Duvall may have once taught computers at Joliet penitentiary, but nothing prepared him for the harsh realities of out-of-control junior girls. 📚🏫

Join us in the SLOC Education Building for auditions for Mean Girls High School Version this Thursday and Friday! Visit sloctheater.org.

Kick! Layout! Fosse! We're one day closer to auditions for Mean Girls High School Version. Today we're highlighting the coolest people you will ever meet- Janis and Damian!

Janis:
An “Art Freak” and social outcast, Janis is not afraid to be weird or make others uncomfortable. She paints herself as an objective observer, but, like so many of us, she longs to avenge the devastating events of eighth grade. 🎨🖌🖕

Damian:
Outgoing and an active member of the student activities committee, Damian is a fiercely loyal friend to Janis and they have the close rapport of a comedy team.🕺🎭

You'll find your group, your herd, your flock! Join us June 13th or 14th! Visit our Facebook event page for more audition information.

06/06/2024

Auditions for Mean Girls are one week away! It's time to meet the "grool" boy at North Shore High School.

Aaron Samuels:
A cute boy with a good moral compass and a backbone. He’s not immune to all the female attention he gets, but he’s not going to let himself be a pawn in their chess game either. ⚽️🏀📚

Will we see you next week? Join us in the SLOC Ed Building June 13th and 14th!

Check out sloctheater.org for more details.

06/05/2024

Here's where you belong! Auditions: Mean Girls High School Version at SLOC Musical Theater are almost here and its time to meet the main character from the show!

Cady Heron:
A new junior at North Shore High School, Cady grew up in Africa and was homeschooled by her wildlife biologist parents. She is warm, bright, and strong enough to take on The Plastics. Cady is the emotional heart of our story. 🎒🦁👚💅

Join us next Thursday and Friday, June 13th and 14th in our Education Building. It's going to be so fetch!

From Horace Green Prep to North Shore High, school spirit is alive and well at SLOC!

Come sit with us! Auditions: Mean Girls High School Version at SLOC Musical Theater are next week, which means it's time to meet the Plastics!

Regina George:
Regina is the Queen Bee of the Plastics. When she shines her light on you, you feel like the most important person in the world. When that light goes cold, you want to die. She is regal, still, and “hot”, but at her most vulnerable moments, she is just a kid in over her head. 🔥📓 🚌 🍫

Gretchen:
Desperate to please Regina and to maintain her position in the Plastics, Gretchen is a nervous wreck. She is a “banker” meaning she befriends people to “bank” their secrets so she can trade them later for her own benefit. Her fragility at times is heartbreaking. 📱👠💅

Karen:
Although her intellect and personality never had a chance to develop, Karen is
essentially kind, relaxed, and a generous laugher. 👙🐭🍭

Join us next Thursday and Friday, June 13-14 in the SLOC Education building. High School students of all backgrounds, ethnicities, and identities are encouraged to audition!

For additional information, visit sloctheater.org!
