Some people wonder if they will die after excessive ma*****na use and if they should seek medical treatment. A fatal overdose from ma*****na alone is highly unlikely.

Here are 3 Factors to Consider when debating if you should go to the hospital or not!

Ma*****na overdose is not the same as Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome (CHS).

CHS is a condition that happens after years of chronic ma*****na use. It is caused by heavy, long-term ma*****na use rather than consuming too much ma*****na at once.

If you are wondering how long co***ne stays in the body, chances are that you have drug tests coming up and want to be sure that you will pass. The problem is that there are no hard and fast rules for when a drug test will no longer be able to detect co***ne in the body.

06/11/2024

There are lots of factors influencing co***ne metabolism, so be sure to consider if any of these apply to you. You may also have more issues if you are using other drugs in combination with your co***ne, as this can contribute even more heavily to the co***ne and bipolar disorder connection, as well as other dual diagnosis concerns.

The reason fake pills are so dangerous is that they may be laced with enough fentanyl to cause a fatal overdose. But what is fentanyl? And why is it so dangerous?

Fentanyl is a synthetic opioid that is 50 times stronger than he**in and 100 times stronger than morphine. It is much stronger than the ingredients that a person is expecting when they take an Oxycodone M30 pill.

Doctors only prescribe it for people in extreme pain. With so little needed to produce relaxing, pain-relieving effects, it does not take a significant amount of fentanyl to overdose.

According to the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), just 2 milligrams, or the amount of powder you can fit on the tip of a pencil, is a lethal dose of synthetic opioids.

If you or someone you know is struggling with opioid abuse, call us today: 480-531-8942

Due to the inexpensive nature of these ‘blues’ pills on the street (often sold for less than $5 each) they have become a problem in every state of our great country.

One of the more common fake prescription pills on the street is Oxycodone M30. Referred to as Oxycodone, blues, thirties, Blues Brothers, blueberries, or roxies, these look like legit. However, these fake pills contain varying amounts of fentanyl.

Bipolar disorder is a lifelong (chronic) condition, much like drug addiction is considered a chronic relapsing disorder. Often, medication is prescribed to manage the symptoms of different bipolar disorders.

Some of the most common medications prescribed include mood stabilizers, antidepressants, antianxiety medication, and antipsychotics.

Bipolar and substance use disorders are hard enough to overcome individually. When you are diagnosed with both, it presents unique challenges. Fortunately, at Purpose Healing Center, we are ready to rise to that challenge to help you improve your mental health as you begin on a path to lasting recovery.

Even if you’ve tried other rehab facilities in the past, most do not offer the same level of care that you’ll find at our Joint Commission Accredited treatment center.

A benefit to AHCCCS coverage for addiction treatment is that it is extremely comprehensive if you qualify.

If there is anything that can assist you in getting the help you need for substance use or mental health issues, AHCCCS has likely already thought of it.

05/28/2024

Addiction treatment can be complex to navigate with health insurance, even if you are using a federal or state-sponsored Medicaid plan.

Be aware of what your benefits are so that you can anticipate the out-of-pocket costs of care. You need to know: does Medicaid cover drug rehab and what kind of bill will you be stuck with?

Purpose Healing Center is proud to offer AHCCCS coverage at both of our treatment centers. If you are unsure what Medicaid benefits will cover for your addiction treatment, we can verify your benefits on your unique plan and help you figure out the details.

If you are seeking addiction treatment services, the good news is that your Medicaid coverage may be enough to get in the door. Substance abuse treatment is required to be covered as one of ten essential health benefits under the Affordable Care Act.

This includes behavioral health services, mental health services, and substance abuse treatment.

There are two major theories on how m**h addiction disrupts the hair growth cycle.

The first is that it interferes with the anagen phase in a process known as anagen effluvium. Under this umbrella, your hair may not divide the cells as quickly which slows down growth.

It may take days or even weeks from the point of your drug use to see this stage become disrupted. On the other hand, telogen effluvium can be equally problematic for hair loss.

Hair will be sent straight to the rest phase, even before it is supposed to be done growing. As more hair hair enters into telogen phases, it will tend to fall out faster than it should. It may take two to four months for this to surface.

One of the lesser-known side effects of substance abuse, particularly related to m**h addiction, is drug-induced hair loss. It can impact you in a variety of ways, so it is important to take a comprehensive look at what you can expect.

Physical trauma symptoms can occur in addition to mental health symptoms. In some cases, people do not even realize that these symptoms are trauma-related. It is very common for trauma survivors to experience physical symptoms such as the following:

-Sleep disturbance.
-Body aches and pains.
-Headaches.
-Gastrointestinal symptoms.

Going through a traumatic event is stressful for the body. On top of co-occurrence with some physical conditions, many people who have endured a traumatic event, or who have PTSD, also face one or more additional mental health disorders.

When you use benzodiazepines, it does not take long to develop psychological and physical dependence on the drug. The term ‘benzo belly’ describes the uncomfortable gastrointestinal symptoms associated with withdrawal from benzodiazepines.

Benzo belly occurs because of the gut-brain connection. Research on the gut-brain axis shows a link between the emotional and cognitive areas of the brain and a person’s gastrointestinal tract.

Essentially, benzo belly happens because of the changes in the brain and the gut after long-term use.

We encourage you to call us and learn more about benzo withdrawal management and how we can help support a benzo-free life today! Call Us: 480-531-8942
