Happy Valentine's Day! Today is a special day to celebrate love and connection, but we know it can also be a challenging time for those in addiction recovery. Remember that true love starts with self-love and self-care. Your recovery is the most important thing, and it takes strength and courage to prioritize it every day. Surround yourself with positive people who support your journey. Don't be hard on yourself, remember that progress, not perfection, is what matters. Take the time to appreciate the little things in life, and remind yourself of how far you've come. Keep going, you've got this!

1 - Connect with your loved ones
2 - Repair relationships that were challenged by substance abuse
3- Love your family, Love your friends, Love yourself

It's time to change the way we talk about New Year's Eve. For too long, the only acceptable way to ring in the new year has been by getting drunk and partying hard. But that's not the only way to celebrate. Sober parties on New Year's Eve can be just as fun, if not more so. Here's why:

1. You'll actually remember the night.
2. You won't have to deal with a hangover the next day.
3. You'll save money on drinks.
4. You can still have a great time dancing and socializing without alcohol.

So let's start talking about New Year's Eve in a different way. It doesn't have to be all about getting trashed - sometimes, the best way to celebrate is by staying sober and enjoying the night for what it is: a chance to start anew.

Christmas time is a special season when we should be focusing on spreading love, not just to others but to ourselves as well. It's a time of year when we should be more aware of our daily actions and how they impact both ourselves and those around us. Make this holiday season count by vowing to be more intentional with your words and deeds!

When it comes to staying sober during the holidays and beyond, you're not alone.

There are many resources and support groups available to help you through this difficult time. Here are some tips for staying sober during the holidays:

-Attend holiday gatherings with a friend or family member who can support you in your sobriety.

- Bring your own non-alcoholic beverages to holiday parties so that you have something to drink.

- Avoid places where there will be drinking, such as bars or clubs.

- If you're feeling tempted to drink, call a friend or sponsor who can talk you through it.

- Remember why you're staying sober and focus on the positive benefits of sobriety.

If you or someone you know is struggling with addiction, there are many resources available to help. Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, and other support groups can provide information and support for those in recovery.

This Thanksgiving, those in recovery from substance addiction - especially alcohol use disorder (AUD) - only wish for one thing: a sober holiday. The annual Thanksgiving feast is a day that should be set aside every year to celebrate nature's bounty with loved ones, but for many in recovery, it can be a trigger for relapse. We hope that this year, everyone in recovery can find peace and joy in celebrating sobriety.

Some of the psychological and emotional signs that you’re stressed out include:

Depression or anxiety.

Anger, irritability, or restlessness.

Feeling overwhelmed, unmotivated, or unfocused.

Trouble sleeping or sleeping too much.

Racing thoughts or constant worry.

Problems with your memory or concentration.

Making bad decisions.”

There are hundreds of things you can do to reduce stress. Some of the most effective stress-busters are regular exercise and laughter.
