We love learning about new lighting products and seeing which ones to introduce to our builders. Here are Architectural Record's choices for Best Lighting Products of 2023.

Best Lighting Products of 2023 Architectural Record’s annual competition presents the top luminaires and fixtures of the year.

Ambient lighting is the primary lighting source in a space, making it crucial for new home interior designs. Our luminosity team created beautiful renderings to show Great Room ambient lighting options: six recessed cans, four recessed cans, and standard electrical (a half-hot outlet for the floor lamp and a ceiling fan light).

We suggest six recessed cans on a dimmer switch to fit any task or mood.

Are you thinking of remodeling next year or purchasing a new home? As we prepare to enter the last month of the year, here are some lighting design techniques to consider.

💡Recessed can lights in the ceiling for optimal lighting with minimal distractions.
💡Elegant chandelier with lights in the living room for an additional lighting layer.
💡Pendants over the kitchen island for additional task lighting.
💡Toekick lighting along the bottom of the kitchen island for safety lighting and style (not featured in image).

We had a great time painting homes at House of Refuge, Inc. this morning. House of Refuge is a non-profit that provides transitional housing for families experiencing homelessness.

We love the Wall Grazing lighting design technique used in this bedroom. Wall grazing accentuates the textured walls and makes them the room's focal point.

Fall is here with its crisp morning air and beautiful colors. It's the ideal time of year to enjoy an outdoor fireplace. 🍂🍁

Lighting design tip: Adding a few wall grazers would take this patio from well-lit to stunning.
