Thank You Keystone College, Lions Club Wrestling, and Summit Wrestling Club! Some of these ladies are experienced wrestlers (like the 2 from West Scranton Junior Wrestling Club, Ella and Molly) and some have never been on the mat before. Girls from all over the area came out for an Girls Wrestling Open House!

Due to the overwhelming show of support, we have begun to reconsider our decision to stop coaching with the West Scranton Junior Wrestling Club. We want you all to know that the West Scranton Junior Wrestling Club is NOT a part of West Scranton Wrestling Alumni Association Junior Wrestling in any way, shape or form. This decision was made by the current board members of the West Scranton Junior Wrestling Club, the elementary wrestling club that has served our youth for more than 40 years. We are not 100% sure of what this season will hold, as there is a lot of discussion that needs to happen. We do know that we can not provide a free club, but we can provide quality wrestling, life lessons, along with so much more, as we have in the past. Please, feel free to tell us your thoughts! We will keep you, our wrestling family updated every step of the way.
With all of that being said, we are asking that if your child (ages 5-12, grades K-6) is still interested in wrestling for West Scranton Junior Wrestling Club, please comment below, or send us a private message. Share with your friends, ask if there is still interest. Get the word out!

There's still time to register for this!! This is the perfect opportunity for girls to learn about wrestling, get a small taste of the sport, meet some new friends, and gain confidence!

Eight West Scranton Jr Club members and former members went to the MAWA Northern Regional Tournament this weekend in Bloomsburg. Of those 8, 4 are moving on to Eastern Nationals, including BOTH our girls! Everyone wrestled well, worked hard, and had a ton of fun! Congratulations to those moving on! We will be cheering for you in Maryland!!

A huge Thank You to Wilkes Wrestling Team!! Tonight, several team members and coaching staff came to our room to give back to the community, working with kids from youth programs in the area. The kids really enjoyed working with the college guys, and the college guys had a lot of fun working with them as well. Two of the wrestlers from Wilkes began their wrestling careers right in this very same room! We hope to have them back again soon!

All of these kids have either come up through the Junior Club or are still in the Junior Club!! Some are in high school, some in college now, some heading off to Junior High Next Year. Every single one of them are advancing to the Regional MAWA Tournament in Bloomsburg next month!!

Congratulations to one of our littlest wrestlers, Grayson Williams for going 3-2 on the day, placing 3rd in the Break the Chains Future Champs 1st Year Round RobinTournament today in State College!!! He won his very first medal today!! Way to Go Grayson!!!

Reminder For tonight: arrive at West Scranton High School at 5:45 wearing warm ups (hoodie and sweat pants). NO SINGLETS!! Be sure to have your wrestling shoes with you to change into!! Stay for the High School match and show our support! See you tonight!

This Wednesday (2/9) our wrestlers have been invited once again this year to be introduced to the home crowd before the High School Varsity Match against Western Wayne. All wrestlers are strongly encouraged to attend and stay for the home match! This has become a tradition!! We need a DEFINITE HEAD COUNT ASAP of who will be attending!!
