Our kimbap this season is becoming a crew favorite (I feel like I say that every season 🙂🙃 … but it’s true!) Our Tofu Dumpling Kimbap is full of the flavors you get with in kimchi mandu, but rolled lovingly in rice and seaweed instead of a dumpling wrapper. Vegan and gluten-free ✨Served with pickled mu radish and GF soy sauce.

She’s our it girl this menu 😍 Our Dongchimi Water Kimchi replaced our usual soups, and although Koreans eat this during winter (as my umma exclaimed 😅) we wanted to give you the opportunity to sip on this refreshingly icy and extremely flavorful broth while the sun is beaming down 💛 AND! We also sell sprite if you wanna be LA. IYKYK 😏

Ribs always feel like summer ☀️✨ Our braised gochujang pork ribs are so tender with a garlic & ginger kick, and get extra flavor from all the veg: Mu radish, sweet potato, onion, and corn. Served with our new trio for our banchan meals, bok choy muchim, danmuji radish, and our classic apple muchim 💛

By popular request from our catering menu, we added this Sesame Chop Salad to our summer menu ☀️✨ It’s lovingly puckery dressing makes all of the color veggies shine! 🌈

Usually tteokbokki is in a lovely fiery red sauce, but just like our whole menu, we like to show different versions of Korean cuisine that we love. Our rice cakes have a GF soy sauce base and lets the flavors of the corn, bulgogi mushrooms, red onion, and bell pepper shine through ✨

Bibimbap BY FAR has been our most popular menu no matter what version we make 🍚✨ You’ll see corn dotted around our menu this season, reminding us of summer hangs with ajumas handing out cobs and eating them one kernel at a time 😄 So we had to include it in our bowl: Fresh Nappa Kimchi, Fire-Roasted Corn, Blanched French Green Beans, Fresh Cucumber, Pickled Cauliflower, Roasted Garlic Mu Radish and Asian Pear Muchim rounding it out!

Thank you for sharing our struggles and diving deeper to get even more information we didn’t know. Putting yourself out there is SCARY. I started shaking after the interview remembering how many times I’ve sobbed and vulnerably shared how I was in fear of my business closing with all the punches we get as business owners. And nothing. Not even empathy. But the Pioneer Square street level small business owners are tired and fed up. We have the most on the line and bring so much to this neighborhood. ⁣

I get SO many DM’s about our struggles and the consensus is the same: Seattle is not small business friendly. All of the marketing they promote otherwise is insulting. We need long term solutions. When we thrive, we help the economy, public safety, and tourism all in one swoop. ⁣

Ask them what actions they will take this year to make sure small businesses survive the Pioneer Square construction and low foot traffic, plus any solutions you’d like to see. You will get generic answers, if any, but they need to see we have a community backing us up and want the neighborhood to bounce back. ⁣

When some businesses say “we want to build community” they actually mean they just want more customers. I say this not to be harsh, but to give light on what a blessing it is to have a true community, especially as a small business. A group of folks that find comfort and care in a place that they want to support and show up for, and in turn we try to do the same for them in whatever ways we can 💛 ⁣

Happy AANHPI Month 💛🥳🫰✨ This month brings memories of all the festivals and dance performances I used to do when I was younger in Tacoma. My favorite part was seeing all of the different Asian and Pacific Islander people coming together, building community, and of course, FEASTING 😊 ⁣
