Why I Walk

Mark, the team captain of team Pump it Up! is sharing why he walks with the hope of encouraging you to walk with him. "My daughter Amy was diagnosed with T1D in 2000, when she was 14. It was a shock to us, even though we had other family members with T1D. My brother-in-law, Arlan, was diagnosed in 1971 in his 20s, and his son, my nephew, Jared, in 1991 when he was 15. But we were deluded to think than any family connection was on my brother-in-law’s side, and that we were safe. In fact, no one is safe"....to learn more about Mark's T1D Heroes visit: https://bit.ly/46LkJi0

WHY WE WALK WEDNESDAY! Dyanna, the team Captain from Charly's Angels is sharing why she walks. Almost 8 years ago, our bouncy, bubbly, five-year-old little girl started to disappear. We noticed she seemed thinner, less energetic and less likely to run and play. We were stunned when she was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes...learn more about Charlotte, the T1D Hero of team Charly's Angels: https://bit.ly/3WQXT5m.
