Courthouse facility dogs provide a compassionate way to help traumatized victims tell their stories. This nonprofit organization promotes the use of facility dogs to support vulnerable people during legal proceedings.

Last weekend, we live streamed the Antioch University Graduation Ceremony!

The ceremony was held at the Magnuson Park Hanger in Seattle. Our team was there to provide AV and streaming services. The ceremony was live streamed to Zoom for families to be able to tune in virtually. We have been working with Antioch for a few years now. Our CEO, Steve Crandall, is a member of their board.

Congrats to all the graduates, and we look forward to streaming the ceremony again next year! 🎓

Our team is back from supporting another successful conference for Fred Hutch in Washington DC!

In addition to live streaming the Full Group Meeting to our custom built website, our team also assisted in the filming for HVTN’s SWG videos that will be submitted to the NIH. It was a busy but highly productive week!

Special thanks to Pinnacle Live, Infinity Translations, Omni Shoreham hotel, and Jerry Ockfen and his wonderful team. It is the culmination of all these hard working vendors that bring these successful hybrid events to fruition. Thank you all!

Yesterday, we filmed the ‘World Tour’ concert for the Federal Way Symphony! The show featured, Accordionist, Jamie Maschler and the orchestra for three tangos written by Astor Piazolla. There was also performances featuring work from Vivaldi, Haydn, and the Northwest premiere of Bob Bassett’s, ‘Lodore’. 🎶

Meet our Freelancer, Guy Staley!

Guy Staley is an accomplished freelancer with over 35 years of experience in the media production industry! Guy's journey began in audio production, where he worked as a Producer and Audio Engineer. Fascinated by cinematography, he delved into the field while continuing his work in audio engineering. His passion for visual storytelling led him to pursue studies in cinematography and later photography, culminating in the establishment of his own darkroom where he specialized in abstracts and urban landscapes. With the advent of DSLR cameras capable of shooting video, Guy's interest in hybrid photography and videography reignited, drawing him back into video production and eventually onto film sets. Over the years, he has contributed his expertise to numerous feature films, mastering various roles within the Camera and Electrical departments. Additionally, Guy has owned and operated two private recording studios, focusing primarily on music production while occasionally delving into post-production audio for video projects.

In 2014, Guy joined Promotion Arts (now ThirdReel) as a freelancer, initially working as a Technical Director and Camera Operator for live streams of Continuing Legal Education (CLE) events. Since then, he has been a cornerstone as a primary camera operator and audio engineer, collaborating on diverse projects ranging from productions at the 5th Avenue Theatre to international endeavors like assisting with live streams for Fred Hutch in South Africa. Recently, he has also been involved with our sister company, B&A Litigation Services, working as a remote legal videographer. His professionalism and expertise have forged a strong partnership with our company over the past decade.

In his free time, Guy's interests extend to cooking, photography, and automotive work. His dedication to his craft is evident as he spends much of his free time immersed in video projects and expanding his knowledge of the industry. Recently, he has delved deeper into post-production and color work for films.

Excited about the future, Guy looks forward to traveling with his wife and is eager to explore the evolving landscape of AI in the industry.

Last October, we supported our final Fred Hutch conference for the year in Seattle. Earlier in the year, we had traveled to Johannesburg, South Africa and Washington DC for conference support.

For the Seattle conference, we created a custom website for the live stream to be viewed. The website also included an active agenda, session schedule, resources and directory. During this conference, our team ran the live stream for the main plenary room and additional breakout rooms. This year we also supported an interactive plenary session. Our live stream team works closely with the in-house AV team to provide content for both in person and virtual attendees. Since the conference is viewed and attended by people from around the world, we work closely with Infinity Translations to provide real-time translations and content in multiple languages for all attendees. After the conference, our team puts all of the recordings and content on a recordings page on the website to be viewed post conference.

We value the partnership we have with Jerry Ockfen and his team. We are looking forward to our upcoming conferences with Fred Hutch in 2024!

My grandfather, Richard E Miner. He was a Captain in the US Army from 1954- 1959.

My father Bruce Crandall was a career Army Aviator. He flew helicopters in Vietnam and was played by Greg Kinnear in the movie "We Were Soldiers."

This wonderful organization provides professionally trained dogs across the country to compassionately help traumatized victims tell their stories in court proceedings. These dogs work primarily in prosecutors offices, child advocacy centers, and family courts.

We were so happy to provide support for this conference and look forward to next years event!

Earlier this month, our ThirdReel team traveled to Washington DC to support the HVTN Full Group Meeting. This large hybrid conference was live streamed to a custom built website, created by our team. A big thank you to Fred Hutch, Jerry Ockfen Copeland and his team, the on-site AV team, the Omni Shoreham hotel, and Infinity Translations. This event was a huge success with many in-person and virtual attendees.

Last weekend, was the final show of the season for the Federal Way Symphony! This show was extra special, as the Symphony was celebrating their 40th Anniversary. Cake and champagne was served before the show for the joyous occasion.

This show was ‘Masterpieces from Three Centuries’. It featured works from composers such as Franz Joseph Haydn, Howard Hanson, Franz Schubert, and more! This was also the world premiere performance of ‘Nocturne’ from Gail Kubik. The performance was orchestrated by music director, Adam Stern. There was also a soloist performance from flutist, Kate Mondragon!

It was wonderful to support the Symphony during this season, and we are already looking forward to next season!

This Wednesday, March 8th, is International Women’s Day. This day provides a global platform for celebrating women’s achievements, increasing awareness about gender inequalities, and raising support for women worldwide.

This year, we will be celebrating not only on March 8th, but we are starting our own Women’s WEEK! Each day we will highlight women who are integral to the success of our company. Being a primarily women-run organization, this week is very important to us and worth being celebrated!
