LSUHSC Career Opportunities The position will serve as a competent professional authority for the WIC program. This position provides nutrition education for the WIC program by determining nutrition risks, setting goals for nutrition and breastfeeding, and developing and distributing nutrition educational materials.

They recruit from all over Louisiana- and have 9 depots- satellite storage places where donors can drop off or they can arrange shipping back to them.

As a result of the continued low level of water pressure, the LSU Health Shreveport WIC Office will be closed again tomorrow.
**An update on the reopening Friday will be shared as soon as possible**
Our clinic will be closed tomorrow but will reopen Thursday January 18th at 8:00 am

The School of Allied Health Outpatient Clinic will also be closed tomorrow.
A decision on whether the Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport & Monroe outpatient clinics will be open tomorrow will be made later today.

There is SO much to do on the new MyWIC app and even more to come!
If anthropometrics (weight and height) along with hemoglobin and/or lead screening are completed within 30 days of scheduled certification/re-certification, high risk or lactation counseling appointments, those measurements can be used.
These measurements can be obtained through MyChart or a completed form by a physician and brought to your scheduled WIC appointment.
Doing this will save you not only time, but a lot of tears shed as well!
