Kiya came to us in physical therapy to get stronger before having surgery to repair a torn labrum in her hip. Shortly after, she came back to us to continue rehab after surgery in order to return to sports. There is nothing she can’t do when she puts her mind to it, and her prehab/rehab has been no different. She has come such a long way, and we are so proud of her! 👏

We are beyond excited that she just signed with Ouachita Baptist University in Arkansas on a volleyball scholarship! 🏐 It’s been a pleasure to watch her get stronger and recover from surgery so she can follow her volleyball dreams all the way to college. We are so honored to be a part of her journey. We’re so proud of you, Kiya!! You’re going to do GREAT things!! 🥰

A bit of delay in posting about the most wonderful time of the year... Early in the morning this Saturday past, December 3, the physicians, staff and friends of Specialists Hospital Shreveport. Orthopedic Specialists of Louisiana, Pain Care Consultants and Spine Institute of Louisiana joined together for their 13th annual Shop with a Doc to celebrate (50) magnificent children from the VOA's LightHouse & Communities in School Programs with a surprise shopping trip to Target Store Shreveport. This beloved tradition has become our mark of what Christmas is truly all about and its success is owed to so many that have embraced and loved this celebration.
First and foremost... our thanks goes to the children we are blessed to honor! Each year we are inspired by their joy, their wonder and their selflessness.

We are looking for registered nurses for our OR. This position is a professional licensed Registered Nurse position which circulates throughout any surgical event within the facility. The operating room nurse works in collaboration with medical staff, nursing colleagues, physician assistants and CORT’s.

**A sign-on bonus is included with this position.

Requirements
• Current RN Louisiana Licensure or multi-state licensure.
• Six months of recent Perioperative experience, orthopedic experience preferred.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• AORN membership preferred, CNOR encouraged, ACLS encouraged.
• Able to maintain extensive standing, moderated sitting and retracting.
• Physically able to perform CPR.
• Able to lift a minimum of 15 # of surgical instrument pans or equipment.

Benefits are available with this position. Pay In Lieu of benefits is also an option.
