What an encouragement!

Our Relational Wisdom 360 Wednesday night seminar begins next week! This is an exciting opportunity in our church to grow in Biblical wisdom and equip us with tools for the relationships in our lives. Sign-up link and more details are available in the weekly email!

Join us for an hour of caroling in local neighborhoods, where we will also hand out treats with invitations to our Christmas Eve service. Afterward, we will reconvene at the church for dessert and cocoa. Don't be shy, more voices sound good together! Please RSVP in the weekly email as soon as possible!

We began our Advent sermon series on Sunday. In the coming weeks, we will walk through The Magnificat (Mary's song), The Benedictus (Zechariah's song), and The Gloria in Excelsis (the Angel's song). Join us as we remember his birth, look forward with hope to his return, and celebrate life in Christ!

This Friday! Our “Favorite Things” gathering will include a gift exchange. Bring 3 of your favorite things (all the same thing, or 3 different things), costing $10 or less each, and wrapped. As we wrap up our study of the book of Exodus, we look forward to Christ's fulfillment of Old Testament promises in the book of Hebrews. We will study this book over the next two weeks as we head into the Advent season. Join us on Sunday mornings at 9:30am for worship!

It seems cliche, but Christians are called to face this world differently. How? Jesus gives a variety of different examples in the Sermon on the Mount, but for now, we consider two sections that tell us what that looks like: the beatitudes and the call to be salt and light.
Consider the beatitudes for a moment. How can one live like this if this world is where we find glory or satisfaction? You cannot! And how can you be salt and light if you will not be merciful, meek, poor in Spirit, etc (the beatitudes)? You cannot!
So how do we move forward? With the truths of the Psalms that we studied leading us to find our hope, trust, and rest in the person, work and teachings of Jesus.
