Standing Springs Baptist Church

We are partnering with another church in the area to take supplies to North Carolina on Monday. While many of us are still without power and/or water, others are ok and have some bandwidth to help. If you feel you’re able to help, that would be great, but there is no pressure!

Here’s what we need:

- 1–2 trucks with hitches to pull trailers
- 1–2 trucks to take additional supplies
- Waters
- Non-perishable foods
- Diapers/wipes
- Blankets
- Sleeping bags
- Air activated Hand/foot warmers
- Cold weather clothes for adults, kids, and babies
Jackets, scarves, gloves,

Please drop supplies off at the fellowship hall Sunday morning before service.

UPDATE ON SUNDAY 10/6 GATHERING:

The last 7 days have been a trying time for many of us. We have experienced a disaster that has affected our whole community and most, if not all, of our church family. Even through all this, we praise the Lord for his provision and protection.

Here's how we plan to gather Sunday Morning, October 6th:

-No Sunday School at 9:00am
-Donut & Coffee Fellowship at 9:45am in the HUB
-Morning Worship Gathering at 10:30am - normal childcare provided
-Evening Worship Gathering at 5:00pm - normal childcare provided

Good Afternoon, Church Family --

The last 36 hours have been a trying time for many of us. We have experienced a disaster that has affected our whole community and most, if not all, of our church family. Even through all this, we praise the Lord for his provision and protection.

Here's how we plan to gather tomorrow morning, September 29:

- We will gather in the Sanctuary for an abbreviated worship gathering at 10:30 AM.
- The church does not have power and may not have power by Sunday morning. Even if there is no power, we will still gather! We can sing together, hear the Word proclaimed, and enjoy much-needed fellowship even without power :)
- No Sunday School at 9:00 am.
- No Donut Fellowship at 10:00 am.
- No Children's ministry or nursery.
- No Evening Prayer Gathering at 5:00 pm.
- No parking in the lower parking lots that connect to the 1st floor children's area. A fallen tree has blocked the exit.

We look forward to seeing you tomorrow morning if you are able. If you need anything, please do not hesitate to call one of the pastors or deacons. If we cannot help, we can connect you with a church member who may be able to.

Finally, go about the rest of your day remembering these words from the Apostle Paul from Philippians 4:6-7:

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

Join us June 24-28 for a fun 80s and 90s themed week, where children will grow to know and love the Bible through reading, seeing, saying, and singing Scripture. Through games, crafts, Bible lessons, and lessons about missionaries, children will learn that as we delight in Scripture, Jesus is worshipped, and our lives are changed forever!

No evening service tonight! We had a water main break affecting the gym and fellowship hall building that cannot be repaired before we gather at 5pm. Enjoy time with friends and family!
