This week, we wanted to highlight one of our kitchen captains in RSM!

Sam Botros has faithfully served on our Kitchen team and led our 6th-grade girls in small groups. She serves in ways that can easily go unnoticed, pointing to her gentle and humble heart. She is also never afraid to join in the fun of RSM when it comes to games or dress-up days.

We appreciate everything you do, Sam!

RSM LEADER SHOUT-OUT! 📢

This week, our volunteer shout-out goes to Mike Cousineau! Mike has been serving in RSM for over a year and is a jack of all trades.

He leads 9th and 10th-grade boys in small groups, helps facilitate chaos on our game team, and offers his construction expertise to us in any way he can!

Mike is the perfect blend of a 'big kid' and a respected leader with so much knowledge to share with our students. We truly don't think our team would be complete without him. Plus, he has some cute kids that brighten up every Wednesday night... Thank you, Mike!

IT'S GABE'S BIRTHDAY! 🎉🎂

We are so thankful for his leadership over our RSM students and leaders! We hope you have the best Birthday, Gabe!

We are so thankful for our RSM volunteers! Over the next couple of weeks, we want to highlight just a few of these incredible leaders.

Our first shoutout is to Ally Maurer. Ally has been serving in RSM since Beach Camp '23 and is the definition of a superstar.

She leads the 7th-grade girls' small group and has been known to bust out her karaoke microphone for impromptu sing-alongs. She loves all things pink and the Clemson Tigers and will do anything to make people feel welcome.

Ally is one of the most compassionate people we have ever met, and she loves to show up for all of the students' sporting events, plays, and concerts. We are so glad to have a person like Ally on our team!

Last night, we started our series through the book of Philemon!

Emma encouraged us with a great message about how we can love the people God has put in front of us and the importance of showing and sharing the Gospel with them! 💪

NEW SERIES TOMORROW! 🎉

Throughout June, we will look through the book of Philemon in the New Testament in a series called “Peacemaker.” We will tackle the topic of race, loving our neighbors, and talk through the unity we find in the family of God. 🙌

We can't wait to learn more about how we can love the people around us better!

📣ALSO — We can't wait to have some rising 6th graders with us at RSM for the summer! From now until July 17th, rising 6th-grade students can ‘double dip’ between RSM and RKids on Sunday mornings as they adjust to new church rhythms. We can't wait to get to know these rising 6th-graders!

Congratulations to all our seniors graduating from High School this week! We love you all so much and cannot wait to see how God continues to move in your lives! 🫶

Last Wednesday, we heard these seniors talk about all that the Lord has taught them throughout middle and high school, and it was so encouraging! 🙌

We honored our seniors, heard them talk about what God has taught them throughout Middle School and High School, and prayed over them as they enter into this new season. 🙌

We also had a blast wrapping up Pre-Summer Block Party! 🥳

Tonight we get to celebrate the end of the school year and honor our incredible seniors! 👩‍🎓🧑‍🎓

It's also the last night of Pre-Summer Block Party, so come dressed up like a "senior citizen" and get ready for a great night of dinner, games, and hearing from our seniors!

SERVE DAY OPPORTUNITY! 💪

We have a super cool opportunity to serve at the Dream Center next Saturday, May 4th!

The Dream Center is an awesome organization that offers emergency assistance to those in crisis, but the primary focus is to encourage, educate, and empower people with a hand-up instead of a handout.

We get a chance to help them out on this serve day by doing some things like landscaping, cleaning the inside of their main building, painting, and more.

Your entire family is invited to serve with us on this service day, so make sure you sign up using the link in our bio!

We loved having Ashley Humphrey with us last night as we talked about how our hearts can easily become hardened if we do not guard them but can prevent and overcome a hardened heart through the truth of God's Word! 🙌
