Fayette County Ambulance Service
Proudly providing the very best pre-hospital emergency medical care to all citizens of Fayette County
Today we were joined by our Medical Director Dr. Rudy Kink, staff from Le Bonheur Children's Hospital, and a group of 2nd and 3rd year residents from University of Tennessee Health Science Center for our semi annual RSI inservice. We not only had adult and pediatric airway lectures, but they also brought presentations on trauma, cardiology, and environmental emergencies. When the talking was done we got to spend time with various mannequins honing our skills with various scenarios. Thank you to everyone who took time from their day to come and help us become better clinicians and care providers.
In 1974, President Gerald Ford authorized EMS Week to celebrate EMS practitioners and the important work they do in our nation's communities. National Emergency Medical Services Week brings together local communities and medical personnel to honor the dedication of those who provide the day-to-day lifesaving services of medicine's frontline.
Happy EMS week to all the EMTs and Paramedics who work tirelessly 24/7/365 to answer the call. Thank you for everything you do to serve others!
We want to show our appreciation to those dedicated individuals out there who sacrifice their holidays, weekends, family events, and sleep to make sure someone answers when you dial 911.
They are the often forgotten link in the first responder chain. If you know a dispatcher make sure you let them know they are appreciated and seen.
Thank you to all the dispatchers out there!
Fayette County continues to be a rapidly expanding community. With growth comes new and exciting challenges. Our increasing population led to us having more opportunities to provide service than ever before.
In 2022 Fayette County Ambulance Service responded to 5502 calls for service and in the process travelled over 269,500 miles!
Rest assured that our Service will be there when you need us most with the most caring and best trained personnel in the business. We hope everyone has a safe, healthy, and blessed 2023!
As 2022 comes to a close we hope that everyone has a safe and fun New Year's Eve!
Have fun and enjoy all the fireworks, but remember to make decisions that won't end up in you having to meet one of our crews in the middle of the night.
We look forward to a great 2023. Happy New Year!
We hope everyone is enjoying a happy and safe 4th of July today!
Memorial Day is about honoring those who have given their life to protect the freedom that we hold so dear.
We salute you.
Today begins EMS Week 2022. We want to take time this week to thank each and every EMR, EMT, and Paramedic who dedicate their lives to serving others.
We are beyond fortunate to have the group that we do serving our community and if you ask us you won’t find better anywhere in the world!
We have the best EMTs and Paramedics in the business, but that wouldn't mean anything without the voice at the other end of the radio.
This week is National Telecommunicators Week and we want to thank each and every one of the dispatchers out there for doing what they do. They are the FIRST responder in the chain of Emergency Services. They are oft overlooked as part of our world, but when you dial 911 during the worst times of your life they are the voice of calm.
Join us in thanking the dispatchers of the Fayette County Sheriff's Office for being there when we all need them most.
This situation is ongoing and either we or EMA will update as soon as we have further. Be sure to follow Fayette County EMA if you don’t already to be able to get important emergency updates about our county.
It is with a heavy heart that we make this post. We have lost one of our own this morning.
Skill came to us retired from Memphis after 30 years with Memphis Fire Department. In the short time he has been with us he has made a huge impact on our community. He had a remarkable ability to make people laugh and never met a stranger. This is a huge loss to EMS and the community as a whole. Please join us in sending up a prayer of peace for the family in this time grief.
We will miss you Skill. Fly high brother.
