Happy Friday folks! I thought i would share a picture of our updated training facility, we have 2 separate buildings created from metal shipping containers, the one is where we conduct live fire scenarios, we can set up the interior however we prefer and start a fire and let our guys feel and experience some live interior fire scene conditions. The other building is mainly for search and rescue scenarios, ladder training, etc... without live fire. Have a great and blessed weekend and, as always, stay safe!

OLD BROWNSVILLE RD: Old Brownsville Rd. between Alexander and Chester will be closed until about 3 PM today per Public Works.
Good morning folks! Last evening your station 13 firefighters were busy training as usual at the weekly thursday night training. The main focus was on mayday RIT training, getting a fresh air bottle to a downed firefighter and switching it out all while blinded to simulate a completely smoked out environment, they also trained on the most efficient way to start CPR on a fully geared firefighter and removing the airpack and helmet and coat quickly and with minimal interruptions to chest compressions. Hopefully everyone has a blessed and enjoyable weekend and as always stay safe out there!
