Elevated testosterone, high cortisol, and insulin resistance can all be challenging aspects of PCOS. 💡 Here’s a breakdown of what to look for and how to manage these symptoms: SWIPE TO READ MORE
✨ Elevated Testosterone: This can lead to symptoms like acne, hair growth in unwanted areas, and hair thinning on the scalp. You are strong and capable, and managing these symptoms is within your reach with the right strategies and support.
✨ High Cortisol Levels: High cortisol can increase insulin resistance, lead to weight gain (especially around the abdomen), and disrupt menstrual cycles. Managing stress through mindfulness, deep breathing, and sleep is key to keeping cortisol levels in check.
✨ Insulin Resistance: Insulin resistance can exacerbate PCOS symptoms and make it harder to manage weight. You have the power to address this through mindful lifestyle choices like a balanced diet and regular exercise, which can improve your overall health and well-being.
At Nurture, we specialize in understanding and managing PCOS. Our team is here to support you with personalized, holistic care that helps you thrive. Reach out today to partner with a provider who knows PCOS and is here for YOU! 🌿
Today is National Charity Day, and we want to take a moment to highlight a cause close to our hearts. In our shared office space at Nurture Women’s Health & Fertility and Points For Wellness, we’ve placed a flyer with a QR code where you can easily scan and donate to the women of the Oaxacan farm-working community. 🌸
As the most recent arrivals to Central Coast agriculture, these women are often the most underserved in our region. Your donations go directly toward purchasing essential supplies like feminine hygiene products to help support them in their daily lives.
Next time you’re in our office, you can find the flyer by our tea and snack counter. Together, we can make a difference! 🤍
Whether it’s your first visit or you’re an established patient, we work to make sure your experience is, well, nurturing! 💛 We believe every visit should feel supportive and tailored to your needs. Please always let us know how we can make your time with us as helpful and comforting as possible.
Thank you to all of our patients who trust us on their wellness journeys – your feedback means the world to us! 🌿✨
Meet Camille! 🌸
Camille is a Santa Cruz native who spent her formative years here before heading to Eugene, Oregon to attend The University of Oregon (Go Ducks! 🐥). There, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Food and Culture studies. After graduation, Camille ventured to Columbus, Ohio, where she honed her skills in medical health and aesthetics, starting and running a practice for over two years.
Now back in her hometown, Camille brings her expertise to Nurture as our Patient Care Coordinator. She also runs our social media accounts (hi, it’s me! 👋), manages our website, events, and more! Currently pursuing a graduate degree in Marriage Family Clinical Counseling, Camille is set to graduate in June 2025 and will begin working towards a License in Marriage and Family Therapy.
When she’s not working or studying, Camille enjoys cooking, taking beachside walks, and indulging in all things skincare. 🌊🍴✨
Today, we celebrate Juneteenth, marking the end of slavery in the United States and honoring the resilience and strength of Black Americans. At Nurture, we stand with our Black community and are committed to providing and advocating for inclusive and compassionate care.
Today, let’s shed light on an issue that often goes unnoticed - iron deficiency. 💔
It’s shockingly common, affecting women of all ages, but it often lingers undiagnosed. Low iron levels can leave you feeling tired, weak, and mentally foggy, impacting your daily life and overall well-being. 💥
Let’s prioritize our health, listen to our bodies, and advocate for regular check-ups to ensure our iron levels are in check. Because when we’re strong and energized, there’s no limit to what we can achieve! 💃💖
Happy Father’s Day to all the incredible dads and father figures out there! 💙

Having a supportive medical provider during the transition into menopause can make all the difference in your journey.
They not only help you navigate the physical and emotional changes but also ensure you have access to the most up-to-date information and treatment options. Whether it’s managing symptoms, discussing hormone therapy, or addressing any concerns you may have, a caring and knowledgeable healthcare provider is your ally in embracing this new phase of life with confidence and well-being.
Remember, you don’t have to go through menopause alone; seek the support you deserve. 💖🩺✨ ”
Low libido is a common issue that many women face at some point in their lives, and it’s important to acknowledge that it’s completely normal. 🌼
Let’s break the stigma surrounding this topic and open up honest conversations about sexual health. Seeking professional advice and support is a positive step towards understanding and improving your sexual well-being, because every woman deserves a fulfilling and vibrant life. 💕✨
Our menstrual cycles often vary in length and duration because they don’t work in isolation. The symptoms we feel around our period and throughout our cycles can also change from cycle to cycle. 🌸
Our bodies respond to our environment. How might your environment be affecting your cycles? Stress, sleep, water intake, nutrition, exposure to environmental toxins—all these variables and more can affect your cycles in different ways.
How can you change your environment to support your goals?
Need guidance? We are here to help! Hormones are our specialty! 💖✨
Wishing a Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible moms out there, in every form. 💐
Today, we celebrate the love, strength, and resilience of mothers everywhere—whether you’re a mom, trying to become one, have lost a child, lost a mother, or chosen a different path, your journey is valid and worthy of recognition.
Let’s honor all the beautiful ways motherhood touches our lives and spread love and compassion to all. 💖

Polycystic o***y syndrome (PCOS) is a hormonal disorder that affects women of reproductive age. It can present in different ways and the symptoms can vary from person to person, but some common signs and symptoms of PCOS include:
Irregular periods: Women with PCOS may have infrequent or prolonged menstrual periods, or may have very heavy or light menstrual bleeding.
Ovarian cysts: Small fluid-filled sacs in the ovaries can be present in women with PCOS.
Excess androgen: Women with PCOS may have high levels of male hormones, which can cause symptoms such as acne, unwanted facial or body hair, and male-pattern baldness.
Insulin resistance: Many women with PCOS have insulin resistance, which can lead to high blood sugar levels and an increased risk of type 2 diabetes.
Weight gain: Many women with PCOS may struggle with weight gain or obesity.
If you think you may have PCOS, it is important to talk to your healthcare provider. They can perform a physical exam and order blood tests to check hormone levels. An ultrasound may also be performed to check for cysts on the ovaries. With a proper diagnosis, you can work with your healthcare provider to manage your symptoms and reduce the risk of long-term health complications.

Let’s shed light on an important issue today - postpartum anxiety, a condition that affects many new mothers. Did you know that while postpartum depression is more widely recognized, postpartum anxiety can also be a significant challenge, often accompanied by excessive worry, racing thoughts, and physical symptoms like rapid heartbeat? 🤰🧠
Here’s the striking part: Postpartum anxiety can manifest differently in each individual and sometimes goes undiagnosed due to societal expectations of motherhood. Understanding this condition and seeking support when needed is crucial for maternal well-being and family harmony. Let’s break the silence, offer empathy, and create a supportive environment where new mothers feel comfortable seeking help and healing. 🌟💖
