Mary Schutten, founding dean of the LTU College of Health Sciences, gave the opening remarks and judged the RoboMed category competition during the 25th annual Robofest World Championship on May 10!

RoboMed, developed in 2019 in partnership with LTU's Biomedical Engineering Department, is an exhibition-style competition where teams design, build, and program a healthcare service robot.

LTU hosted the Robofest Official Michigan Invitational Events on April 20, giving teams a second chance to qualify for the World Championship Game Finals on May 11! 🤖

The challenge, "Autonomous Taxi," requires teams to design a self-driving taxi robot that picks up and delivers golf balls to different locations on the game field while obeying stop signs and avoiding obstacles.
