A Merry Christmas from us all here at the LTU FSAE team. We are happy to partner with .industries.leco to construct our chassis for MY2022. We are very excited to see the precision and craftsmanship come to life and set us moving forward on the first step of the fabrication section for our project.

Our 12th annual LTU Grand Prix this past weekend was a huge success!! Thank you to all the teams that came out for a great day of driving and congratulations to for placing as the top three fastest teams!!

We would like to mention the success of LTU Baja SAE team. They finished top 10 in suspension and maneuverability category. With the linear pots from they will be able to collect more data on their performance and improve the vehicle for next year competition!

It is time to sum up our participation at the Formula SAE Michigan competition this past week. We are extremely proud of our accomplishments! This year was hard on us with the COVID restrictions, but despite that we were still able to bring a functional vehicle to competition, pass tech inspection, and participate in every event. Unfortunately, during the endurance event, we lost one of the timing chain cover bolts and started leaking oil. Thus we weren’t able to complete the event. We were upset, but at the same time, happy that none of the parts we designed ourselves had failed and it was one of the OEM part. It was definitely a learning experience for the next team and we hope issues like that will never occur again. We would like to thank everybody who supported us through this uneasy journey!

This weekend our team completed torsional rigidity study on our chassis as well as painted it! Our vehicle is coming back together so stay tuned to see it’s final assembly! We are extremely excited to turn over our engine again!

Thank you to Norton Abrasives for coming by the lab to drop off an awesome Vac Rack! The Vac Rack is a vacuum system to allow us to sand bodywork, and compsites while producing very little dust! We are very excited to use this as we continue our 2021 vehicle build.
