Continue to pray for our team. Prep work begins for camp to start on Tuesday!

Our team is having a wonderful time networking and learning with other missions leaders throughout the country this week at Missions Metro.

Steve Wise led a breakout session, “what is the ‘Win’ in compassion ministry?” encouraging churches to practice compassion ministry in their own local contexts!

Morocco experienced a magnitude-6.8 quake, the biggest to hit the North African country in 120 years. Over 1,000 people have been killed and thousands injured.

The majority of Moroccan people are Muslim believers. Let’s pray the Gospel will spread in waves to bring comfort and hope to a hurting country.

Yesterday, we gathered together at the FBS leadership summit to hear about how God is at work around the world. We were able to send 42 people around the world to serve on mission, 6 of those were students who served their whole summer.
We are thankful for all of these servants who give their time, treasures and talents to serve with us! Thank you, Dr. Mike Harder for your encouraging message to love well!

Our Global MPACT CELEBRATION is almost here! We are so excited for our church family to gather to learn, fellowship, and be encouraged by the work happening all across the world through First Baptist Spartanburg.🗺️❤️

We still are overjoyed by the success of our DR student mission trip! Read below to hear the impact it made on one student in particular!!!!!!!

Emmy has a beautiful story. This was her first time experiencing a missions trip. She worked as an intern all summer with The Bridge, and saved all of her money she would’ve made to go towards this mission trip. What a beautiful testimony of someone who serves the Lord at home, and overseas.

During her time Emmy said the most meaningful part was,
“getting to connect with these people, even though we haven’t necessarily been able to understand each other because of the language barrier, it’s still been amazing!”

Emmy went on to explain some of the things the DR team participated in. This included helping women develop skills to provide for their families, hosting vbs for children, and spending time with younger girls their age.

We are so proud of all of our students who served on our missions teams this summer.

This week we’ve had an all girls student team serving in the Dominican Republic!!!🌴🌴

These students are getting to experience missions firsthand. Continue to pray for them as they serve throughout the week.

It is through our church’s generosity that we are able to send these incredible students. Thank you church for giving to missions to help us carry out the good news of Jesus!
