Member Highlight Monday!🌟

Tara Michielli has been a dedicated member of the SHBA for the last 6 years. During that time she has been a great help to the Membership Committee working with the committee to teach other local businesses in our industry about the benefits of membership. She has also been a friendly face at many association events as a volunteer.

Today, we are proud to announce that we have collected over 546,000 signatures in support of I-2066. This is the second-highest number of signatures gathered for a Washington state initiative and the most gathered in over 50 years. We were able to collect this record breaking amount in only 50 days, showing how powerful Washington citizens’ voices are. Thank you for all your support! Be sure to vote for I-2066 in November!

This week, members of the SHBA team and Board of Directors attended the 2024 Building Industry Association of Washington Summer Board meeting at Skamania Lodge. They joined industry professionals and members from across the state to receive updates on BIAW committee and council activities, discuss critical industry issues, and celebrate the Excellence in Remodeling awards and the remarkable achievements of ROII over the past year 🎉🌟

Empowering the builders of tomorrow! 🏗️ Did you know that women make up only 10% of the construction workforce? It's time to change that. Our program is dedicated to increasing this number by providing opportunities, hands-on training, and support for young women looking to break into construction. Let's break barriers and build a stronger, more inclusive industry together! 💪

2. Bring your friends and family to the “Super Signing Event” June 4 from 6 to 7 pm at CenterPlace Regional Event Center.
3. Request copies of Initiative 2066 and help gather signatures.
4. Volunteer your business as a signing location.
5. Share your experience with a news reporter to explain the importance of natural gas to our families and our businesses.
6. Share about the initiative on social media.
