A huge CONGRATULATIONS to Emmy Moore for being named as an Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach for Whitworth University. Emmy’s story is pretty cool as she went from one of the last players picked for her 2001 Sounders team, to earning a scholarship and being a part of the soccer programs at the University of Idaho, Concordia University, Seattle Pacific University and Whitworth University. She joins a pretty cool list of former participants and academy coaches that have moved on to head coaching roles at the high school and college level. Cameron Bushey, Brento Murakami and Bryan Olson all followed similar paths! Very excited for Emmy and so grateful that she remains part of our Spokane Soccer Academy coaching Ohana! Great job kiddo!

Spokane Award Program Honors the Achievement

SPOKANE Jan 9, 2024- Spokane Soccer Academy has been selected for the 2023 Best of Spokane Award in the Sports Instruction - Academy Style Training, Individual Training & Team Camps category by the Spokane Award Program.

Each year, the Spokane Award Program identifies companies that we believe have achieved exceptional marketing success in their local community and business category. These are local companies that enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers and our community. These exceptional companies help make the Spokane area a great place to live, work and play.

Various sources of information were gathered and analyzed to choose the winners in each category. The 2023 Spokane Award Program focuses on quality, not quantity. Winners are determined based on the information gathered both internally by the Spokane Award Program and data provided by third parties.

Hi! My name is Isabelle Moultray and I am a Gonzaga Women’s Soccer Alum! This spring I will be offering private training for all ranges of skill development from beginner to advanced players wanting to go beyond their normal team training. I will design specialized individual training that will help players to advance their technical skills and speed of play.

I finished up my career at Gonzaga this last fall. In my senior season we made school history by winning the WCC and making it the second round of the NCAA tournament! In club and high school soccer, and for the majority of my college career I played in the midfield, specifically as an 8. However, over the course of my college career I also trained as an outside back and a forward.

I am excited to use my extra time this spring to invest in the lives and games of Spokane players who are driven to improve their skills and who most importantly love playing the beautiful game of soccer like I do!

Although she’s a sophomore, Livvy just completed her first full season. Last fall she tore her ACL and was given a medical red shirt year. One down, three to go! Excited to see where they lead you Liv!

Two exceptional players from the Northwest Conference. Cole is at Pacific Lutheran and was awarded Defensive Player of the Year along with First Team All Conference honors. Clay is playing at Whitworth University and was awarded Second Team All Conference honors. Congratulations to both!!

A very busy fall caused us to fall behind in our SSA SHAKA shoutouts and we will be catcji@g up this week. First up, Maddy and Margo playing at the University of Idaho! Maddy & Margo had an incredible season helping lead Idaho to their first Big Sky Championship in program history! Congratulations on a fantastic season!

Kailyn you have been an amazing player to coach, an incredible teammate and I am so grateful to have had the chance to work with you over the years. You have set such a great example of what it means to work hard toward your goals. Your story is one that I will constantly speak to younger players about. You are an inspiration to me in many ways. Forgetting the soccer for a@minute one of my favorite things about you is how passionately you care for and stick up for your closest friends. We all love you and are so excited to see where you go from here. Talk to you soon, love ya kid!

The boys. I have thoroughly enjoyed the challenge that coaching men’s collegiate soccer has given to me. The best part? These young men!

Congratulations Em :). What a journey! Be very proud of your soccer career. It’s been amazing to watch you grow as a person and a player. From one of the last ones picked in club soccer your sophomore year in high school to establishing yourself as a starter not at one college soccer program but 3! Playing at all NCAA levels you have a unique perspective to share with the next generation of players coming out of Spokane. NCAA Div 1 - University of Idaho, NCAA Div 2 - Seattle Pacific University and NCAA Div III - Whitworth University. Only thing that would have made this better would have been to have had the rest of our SSA FAB FIVE there as well.

Taryn and the Mercyhurst soccer program are tearing it up this season! They are currently 10-0 in the PSAC and 11-1 overall. So happy for you T, best of luck the rest of the season!

The return of a legend! I got to spend a few precious moments with Bo yesterday. He’s back for a couple@of weeks but will be heading back to Nepal. It really was a blessing to Brian and spend some time chatting. He’s going to be at our Whitworth games next week if anyone wants to swing by and say hello!

IT’S TIME! Our fall registrations are now open! You can find all information on our 6am training for ages 2014-2005 on our website: spokanesoccer.com! Space is limited so be sure to register quickly. Sessions begin the week of September 11!

The HSG Preseason Clinic was a lot of fun! Glad we got it done prior to all of this smoke! 😷

Our Men’s Soccer Program at Whitworth University is on a mission to try and support as many locally owned restaurants over chains if at all possible. If you are an owner of a local restaurant and have the capacity to prepare food for 30 hungry male athletes and 3-4 coaches please text me so we can chat.

The plan is to feed the boys nourishing meals after training on some days during preseason and to also look to provide a meal after home games on occasion.

Corporate food is good enough but with our budget tight we know that is hitting everyone nowadays and would prefer to help our community.
