Our Huckleberry Princess, Breanna is awesome! With the high temps this past week, Breanna kept close watch on her special Huckleberry patch, and we are fortunate to get her first harvest of 2024! Three or Four years ago, Retro Donuts was inspired by "The Donut Man" on Route 66 in Glendora, California, who are famous for their strawberry donuts, which they serve year-around (which you can do in California).

Well, this is our dreamy version of that donut, which we think would make The Donut Man proud. And if you're ever in SoCal... Be sure to visit them!

National Donut Day is celebrated in the United States on the first Friday of June each year. The holiday originated in 1938 when The Salvation Army created it to honor their members who served doughnuts to soldiers during World War I. These brave volunteers, known as Donut Lassies, baked and delivered donuts to boost morale on the battlefield. In fact, they’re credited with popularizing the donut in the U.S. after the troops returned from Europe.

And with summer just a couple weeks away, we have decided to officially reintroduce our famous Strawberry Dream on this BIGGEST of donut days. What a GREAT donut day it will be!!!!

Memorial Day is a day of remembrance for everyone who has died serving in the American armed forces. This holiday, originally known as Decoration Day, started after the Civil War to honor the Union and Confederate dead.

This weekend, many volunteers across the country will place an American flag on each grave in cemeteries where fallen soldiers are laid to rest...

Our incredible team at Retro Donuts has assembled another Fritter Friday masterpiece, with some of the finest ingredients available when creating Spokane's best donut experience.

Here's how: We take our fluffy raised dough and chop it perfectly and smothering it with lemon filling and lemon zest before allowing those flavors to morph for nearly a full day. We then fry each to perfection to a caramelized golden brown (while most of you are still sleeping). We then finish it with a light dusting of lemon zest for a flavor-burst of tangy goodness...
